MBP Fan

I am NOT a button person. I like the way my blog looks and I hate to "clutter" up my sidebar.
HOWEVER....I have found the best outlet for entertainment. Srsly. This is better then a soap opera. And I DON'T even watch soap operas! I am ADDICTED to this blog...Today when the new post came up, I srsly set down to read it KNOWING I would be late for work.
I was like...."What the FLIP, NOW?!?!? I'm SOOOO parkin my butt to read this. Work can wait a few."
Confessions of a Mormon Bachelor Pad is my new outlet for stress. I've gone through SO much girl drama these last few weeks to the point where I was positive I was back in High school but reading them would turn ANY moment to hard core laughter!
That's right boys...I'm adding you to my sidebar.

Just a note to let everyone know what's up

First, Halloween! I'll put a spell on youuuuu! I'm SO excited. Tomorrow is a day off and I the last minute party girl will be on the hunt for things needed for my costume.
So what am I going to be?
Whelp, after much MUCH thought {because I just couldn't come up with anything I REALLY liked}
I'm going to be a cheetah...
I'm sure your like "what the heck?" Well me too...
It makes since in my head so WILL SEE if this will translate into reality. If not then a peacock. So I guess you'll just have to see what I will be.

Tomorrow: Costume Shopping and Carving Pumpkins

Friday: Halloween Trunk or Treat & Chili Dinner at church

Saturday: FREAKIN HALLOWEEN! Parr-tayinng and livin it up YSA Style in Knoxville.
With Trunk or Treating for us "adults" and then a Halloween Dance. Who knows...maybe I run into my own "Vampire" LOLOL /fingers crossed & winks/
PS. Around the corner is someones 24 Birthday. Just sayin.
My list for this year to come....
PSS. Also is something SO big coming up that I've thought more about it then my birthday.
It's a little thing called....New Moon.
And my New Moon Premiere Party.
And seeing Edward ripped my heart out.
And seeing Jacob steal the show.
And of course....Tierra's famous Goody Bags.
The End.

Faith to make me Whole

I struggle every single day with the knowledge that my mom is gone.

That I cannot hear her voice and I cannot hold her in my arms.

There is not one moment that I do not suffer heartache and remorse over her death and all my imperfections that I see in myself.

But, I saw this today.

I know who I am. I know where I came from.
I know where I want my life to go.

And through these burdens, I know that I will see my mother again someday.

For I know, that my redeemer lives.

And that, is more then enough.

Who dis?

Lately, I have discovered what type of "telephoner" I am when I talk on the phone. Have you ever noticed what you do when your on the phone with someone? Recently, I have. And I, am...a pacer. Meaning, when your on the phone with me, I can't sit still in one place...I will be walking back and forth between one room or the next. In the bed with covers all over the place or in the living room rocking really fast or walking back to be in the TV room. I'm just not one of those people who can answer the phone or make a phone call without moving. And I'm even better on the phone when I'm cleaning. If I'm on the phone while doing some major cleaning, time just seems to fly by. Also, if I'm driving and there's nothing on the radio and all my Cd's have been heard way to many a time...I will make my phone calls. HOWEVER...I will put off calling people for hours if I'm not familiar. Even if it isn't that serious or important... I just have this phobia of what to say if i don't know you that well. And if it's a REALLY important phone call like to the bank or work or my boss....You can bet I will be putting it off for hours, wishing that i was a kid to just let my mom handle it.

Funny isn't it? Now I've got you thinking haven't I?

Mr. Serious

My stud had his 7 year old photo shots taken Thursday {by yours truly}
I just don't trust alot of people to take pictures of my Mr. Serious.
He can be so grumpy and serious when it comes to getting good smile shots.
Plus, I'm proud to say we have never gone to any other place except maybe twice.
Anyway, tonight we went to a Tennessee High School football game and I'll have you know that I ended up sitting with four little 6 yr. girls from school because they wanted to sit with Angelus & Cameron. Cameron's the blond stud.
They on the other hand played with their other buddies and yelled at the team to score.
I'm NOT ready for this girl drama ladies...NOT at all!
Funny though, I can SO remember already having guy crushes
in Kindergarten and first grade. What can we say...we start young!
But not on my baby! ! !

In case your wondering...
Sweater by Old Navy
Under shirt with matching skull tie by Old Navy
Rugged Jeans by Oldnavy
Black dress Shoes by Gap
And handsome Stud....Priceless

Just let the Music Play

This is my "Car Jam" song...
Ya know, the one where you just blair it
and your driving along, shades on and life. is. good.
It's also...my ringtone. Awesome.

I can't decide which version I like the best.

It takes Two to Tango

So something major happened today. I'm tellin ya people, if you want to have something odd, new, weird, sickening, and all things that just blow your mind away...Go work in a hospital. OH the stories I could share. Really. You just wouldn't believe what goes on behind closed hospital room doors. Do you people realize that ALL patient rooms DO NOT have locks? Doesn't ANYONE remember that when they have to stay the night in a hospital room? Honestly...

So, story number one. The ultimate "make-a-single-girl-feel-low" story...and for some odd reason I have decided to share it for your entertainment. Heaven knows I had to just laugh about it.

If you didn't know by now, I work at our hospital. I am a dietitian's assistant and with that, I'm in about 80 rooms per day. Depending on how high the hospital count is. And so, I SEE ALOT of people from all walks of life. So here goes...my days go like this:

Me: -knock knock- "Hi, this is dietary and my names Tierra and I need to see your wrist band" etc etc
And we go over food options, tray helping, calories and such yada yada.

Today, at exactly 4:38 {I had looked at my watch going into the room} I knock and proceed into the room 2033. As I walk in the lights are off and I immediately turn them on and announce who I am and my name {{{{HERE it comes}}} AND THEN... then my eyes catch what is going on in the room...
Mr. Walker {name change} is completely COMPLETELY naked like the day he was born and is making out with Mrs. Walker who is ummm...half way undressed herself....
Yep that rights...Mr. and Mrs. Walker were doing the " it takes two to tango" and I had just apparently interrupted that oh so "your body is a wonderland" moment....

Mr. Walker was the patient.

Mr. Walker is in his early 70's.

Mr. Walker is also a heart patient.

Tierra's mind: *crap crap OH crap...what the heck do I say?
Crap. crap. I JUST SAW his "everything".... crap. crap. ewwwwwwww crap*

Mr. Walker then proceeds to just laugh and say "Well darlin...Surely a Young Woman yourself has been "in the moment" with her husband?

Me: I'm not married....

I then just turn...and walk out CLOSING the door behind me....

Yep. Here I am single. Not dating ANYONE in which case all my co-workers love to get after me about and now...I JUST WALKED IN ON A 70 somethin couple who just felt the motion of the ocean and were making out in the process.

The last time I made out was two days before dumping Kyle.

Super.

Halloween ParrrrTay

In the words of my 7 yr. old nephew..."You gave a wicked party Tierra"
Yes. My nephew says words like "wicked party" CRACKS ME UP I tell ya!
Friday night, I gave a little Halloween party for Angelus and friends.
Poor little Saylor was the only little girl and all I got to say is "boys will be boys" *sighs*
Throw in some food, friends & cousins and one big candy filled pinata and you got yourself...."One Wicked Parrrrtayyy"

I made my own goody bags this year! Courtesy of good old Martha.com

Not to mention but I've been DIEING to find a reason to make these
Martha Stewart Tissue Pom Poms! SO Easy.

If you need food suggestions for a Halloween/Fall get together...
I suggest just keeping it simple and doing just a few things but yet RICH in taste!

Chicken salad croissants but give it a fall twist
and add glazed pecans and deep plum seedless grapes.

Apple Slices and Carmel Sauce can do NO wrong but be every so rich and sinful!
Hint: If you soak your apple slices in Sprite or Sierra Mist, they wont brown!

I found my mothers recipe for easy apple cider and course I'm all about a party drink let me tell ya! Just fill a crock pot with apple Cider set on HIGH {I prefer Target brand} Add 7 small cinnamon sticks, 1 tbs. All Spice, 1/2 cup of Sugar, and 3 tbs. cinnamon sugar and slice one orange for an every so delightful Brew!

Jackson with his BIG BLUE eyes, hanging out with Mr. Ghost before the boys rip him to shreds!

You gotta love decorating sugar cookies!

Jenny's cracking up, Jackson got a death grip on her hair, and Justin's got this look like he has NO idea how Jenny got green icing on her face!

"I'm gonna take you dowwwnnn"
Remind me next year how MESSY pinatas can get!

See what i mean? Boys will be boys!!!
Not only did the boys bust it, they made sure Mr. Ghost was LONG GONE!

The Gang except missing the two Jackson's.

A BIG thank you for sweet friends and family! It had been a stressful day but turned into a great night! After the party, we "older" cousins went back to the pumpkin patch and did the night time Haunted tour that took 40 minutes and spanned over the haunted house, haunted dairy farm, haunted barn, and haunted corn maze.
All I got to say on that is it's SO NOT COOL to be chased by a chainsaw through a corn maze at night with screaming girls! And mud. Not cool at all!

GleeKer

That's right...I'm a complete Gleeker. I LOVE this show. The music. The cast. The love triangle. LOVE it all.
And the funny thing I find is that a lot of the actors who sing on the show auditioned for American Idol but didn't make it. These days...this all I rock out to in the kitchen.
Ta-ta...Off to watch Glee tonight.

Spoken Truth

I love this picture. And I love this scripture.
...There will I be also, for I will go before your face. I will be on your right hand and on your left, and my spirit shall be in your hearts and mine angels round about you to bear you up.
D&C 84:88

Sometimes in life you go through little trials. And sometimes...I wish I could just go back to being a little girl. A little girl who had daydreams, wishes and the only trial was hoping my grandmother wouldn't discover that I had "borrowed" one of her dresses for a "play" wedding dress.

I hate being an Adult

I just got off the phone with my family.

My family....their all at the beach.

Yep. that's right, you heard me...THE BEACH!

As for Tierra....

Tierra is all by herself sitting in a house with unfinshed painted walls, trim work to be done, a bathroom floor getting ready to be ripped apart and oh yeah... a WORK place that wouldnt let her take the weekend off.

Don't even bother asking me if I'm in a good mood.

PS. My family..... just HAD to tell me about the great ocean front condo, the beach, the shops, the pools, the massive lazy river, ANNNNDDD the four star restaurant they just got back from.

Dear Family,
Am I bitter? YES.
Will I stay bitter all week? YES.
Will I ever let this drop? NO.

Pumpkin Patch 2009

This past Saturday, I had one of the best day's in a long time. My Aunt Carolyn, Cousins Carrie, Hailey, Saylor and nephew Angelus and friend Kristy with daughter Emma went to our local Stickley Farm for their pumpkin patch and corn maze! We all had such a nice time and I can't tell you when I last enjoyed myself that much! They had hay rides, funnel cakes, food and all kinds of cute things for you to do. Not to mention...the Pumpkin patch!

::Picture overload::

Emma is my little buddy at church and She has the biggest blue eyes!

Angelus, Aunt Carolyn, Saylor, Hailey, and Carrie
{I'm missing because...well, someone had to take the picture! LOL}

The cute tree house for the kids to play one!

It was such a beautiful day.

Emma's cute little shirt said "Sweeter then Chocolate" SO true!

"Take our Picture" they yell...

When we went on our hay ride, the scenery was so relaxing and pretty.

"I'm gonna smooch you"

Right before the hay ride took off!

We were to chicken to do the big corn maze SO we did the kiddie one. Would you believe me if i said we got alittle...lost...in that one?

Mr. Corn Maze 2009

The kids all got berry face paint from the hay ride as we stopped along the way!
Here he is saying " Stop taking my picture and can I get this one?!?"

ISN'T she ADORABLE! I LoVe her!!!

Kristy and her shades!

Oh Hailey....So true in character!

This beautiful place I call home....

Awwwe don't you just love the smell of fresh country cow poop?

"Wait...what?"

"Oh I do love a good breeze"

I found mine! And Hailey...your face in the background is priceless....

"This thing is REALLLYYY heavy"

I got my pumpkin...lets roll....

This is the BEST pumpkin ever. Srsly. I think i'm gonna name him Mr. Darcy...
Just because...

Oh Hailey...Hailey...Hailey

BLISS!

Hailey, you look like your to high on life and too much coke a cola! Emma had so much fun!

This was a GREAT kickoff to October! I think were going to go back to do the haunted hay ride and nigh time pumpkin patch. Were TOTALLY to chicken to do the haunted corn maze.
Now if only i had a strong, hot Mr. Darcy of my own to take with me....Or at least Edward. LOL
We had a great time and I'm so happy and thankful it's this time of year.
