A Letter for August

Dear Month of August! I've waited for you for SUCH a LONG TIME! You will be bringing me not 1 not 2 BUT 3 BIG events that I have waited so impatiently for and now your finally here and I just can't contain myself!
First up as we start the month off with the one event I have been so obsessed over since January that my life just hasn't been the same. Literally. So note to every one for the weekend; Tierra will currently be residing in a little town called Forks as the ending saga of the beloved Twilight comes to an end {sorta}
BREAKING DAWN IS COMING OUT THIS SATURDAY!
Halle-freakin-lujah! I've been so good these last few months on not loading up my posting box w/ Twilight mania AND I've been really calm about the whole thing as the count down has narrowed down to the remaining 10 days. Now it's like 2 and I'm FREAKING OUT! I'm so excited excited and worried. You just never know whats going to happen to your beloved characters you come to know by heart at the ending of something magical!

Next up would be a truly girlie girl thing. The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2 is coming out! Again it's another thing that has kept me going back to it's movie page to see if any new trailer has been released over these last few months. So I'm grabbing up all my girlies and were planning a girls night out to go see the new movie. I really HOPE that Lena & Costas get back together at the end or I might be just alittle bit upset
{ok, maybe more then just alittle}
So Leah dear answer your phone so I can invite you to next weeks girl outing-wink!

And Finally on August 18th {I think} A girl whom I've known since Sunbeans at church {age 3} Will be coming home from Argentina!

Dear Arie,
Oh how I have missed you. I tell you over and over again in my letters how I have had so many dreams of you being home that it would just break my heart when I would wake up an realize it was only a dream. So much has happened while you've been away, Yet still so much has remained the same. The Only thing left to stay is were having a slumber party when you get back {Remember! Like we were 12 yrs. old all over again} We've been through so much! First crushes and being small Beehives and thinking that being a Laurel was so far away OR the excitement when we got to go on our first over night temple trip & Sister Castry ordered us the movie Ever After at the hotel and we thought that that was SO COOL. The days when NSYNC was all we talked about and roaming the church on Wednesday night activities and having crushes on the Watts boys! Those days seem so very far away now But yet through it all, friends have come and gone but it will always just go back to me & You. I can't wait to see you and the next chapter of our lives unfold. ~ Tierra

So Thank You month of August, I look VERY forward in seeing you!
Love Always, Tierra

Domestic

Here lately, Something has been up with me! And that something is cooking/baking--Something I DONT do that often--Maybe it's something in the weather or maybe it's all of my married friends that I have around me that has gotten me itching too brush up on my cooking skills, After all...I did catch that bouquet at Jenny's reception! So in Tierra's little kitchen world, I have been trying out recipes left & right! Anyway, a few years back my cousin Alexa brought to our family thanksgiving a pie that was sinfully out of this world! Ever since then I've made sure that that pie was a repeat for all Thanksgiving dinners. Again I repeat it's sinfully rich RICH and sinfully delicious! So without further ado...I give you Kentucky Derby Pie. Completely home made from scratch by Tierra herself! It's loaded w/ lots of chocolate chips and in my opinion taste like a big chocolate chip cookie and I L.O.V.E it! Of course I have provided pictures to share and my testimony that this baby will put the pound on you in an ever so sinful happy way.

Kentucky Derby Pie or Derby Chocolate Pie
3 eggs lightly beaten. 1 cup Light Corn Syrup. 1/2 cup Brown Sugar packed. 1 cup mini Pecan Pieces. 1/4 tsp Salt. 1/2 tsp Pure Vanilla. 6 oz cup Chocolate Chips. 1 9 inch Deep Dish Frozen Pie Shell.

Preheat oven to 450 degrees. Mix all ingredients together. Pour into Pie shell. Bake for 10 minutes. Then reduce heat to 350 degrees and bake for 40 to 50 minutes. Out of oven let stand 8 minutes. Serve w/ choice of Ice Cream or Whip Cream.

I made this on Saturday and this is what's left!

Happy 19th Birthday Carrie!

Friday Night Chic-Flick

I think I'm going to start a new blog tradition. I've been thinking and here lately I really want my blog to show what I do in my everyday life. Not just the cute tags or what nots I want to randomly post about So here' s a small look into my typical single life on Friday nights. Now, usually Fridays are known for date nights BUT being someone who doesn't date outside of her religion and the fact that there's NO ONE--I repeat--NO ONE here in my religion to date, I settle for a typical single gal Friday night fun; CHIC-FLICKS! Every Friday for as long as I can remember, if I don't have anywhere to be after work, I really just enjoy coming home, check my email and popping in some sappy romance chic-flick. So, as a "sorta" blog tradition every other Friday I'll post whats playing on my home theater.

So to start us off, Today at work I had been going through my mind of the list of DVDs and discovered that I had not seen one of my all time favorites in awhile!
Introducing the.....
{Drum Roll Please}
....The Wedding Planner!
I loved this movie from start to finish. It's one of those where I don't just pop it in and skip to some of my favorite parts. I actually watch it all the way through. So tonight as soon as I get this posted my living room awaits and let the The Wedding Planner begin.

. Highlights & Things to Know .
1. I've always hoped that someday they'll do The wedding planner two. Like what would happen when the wedding planner has to plan her own wedding?
2. I love the opening scene where Jennifer Lopez's character comes home and puts everything away in a orderly and neatly fashion.
3. Her wedding planner pouch she wears with EVERY litte last minute item in it, I would die for. It sorta reminds of my purse LOL

Tagging. I really do like this tagging thing where you get to see things SO today my house finally got cleaned in order to do this---That cleaning lady I wished for never showed up, I wonder why??---Anyway So I finally made my way through the house with camera in hand. I'm always so nosy and I love seeing what other treasures people have SO to me this was great! This one works by picking ten favorite things in your house or if you have ten rooms pick a favorite item from each room. Since I counted only 8 rooms I just did the ten favorites in your whole house. Here we go, This is exciting!

. Deep Blue Porcelain Collection .
When I was about 12 My mother bought me my first piece in this collection; The center Jar in the middle. And from then when ever I pass a porcelain store, I always have to search an add to the collection. But what's most important about this favorite is the feeling I had when my mom bought me that first piece. I share a deep love for "pretty things" with my mama and I remember feeling so proud that she loved it too as much as I did and from that WE had to have it.

. Victorian Pink China Plates .
This i guess you could say was my very first love/collection of plates. They were given to my mom from my grandmother for me when I was born. And they are the most special. Now that I think about it, this whole desire/love for pretty things came from my grandmother. When I was just a little girl I remember begging my mom to let me play with the "pretty" plates for tea parties. It's a good thing she didn't cause there very fragile and I cringe when ever some one goes running through the house really fast and shakes the Dining Room shelves!

. Deep Red Kitchen Bowel .
This is my favorite piece in my kitchen. It was given to me last year on my 22nd Birthday by my Aunt Lisa and I fell in love w/ it from the start. I love it so much I wont let any one put anything in it because it takes away from the "prettiness" LOL

. My Bedroom Fire Place .
If ya can't tell, my room color theme is pink and black. And this is my favorite thing in my whole bedroom. I mean who can actually say they have a fireplace in their bedroom? Me! Now in this picture the pink looks alitte to pink But really it's a light pink. Anyway, I'm still in the process of redecorating my room--If only someone would buy me that bedspread LOL-- And I just cant find the right thing to put on my mantel So if anyone has in ideas, let me know.

. Gold Frames .
As stated in previous post, I have a huge obsession with buying pictures frames. So when I saw these I knew I HAD and I mean HAD to have them. For they hold the two MOST important people in my whole life/soul sphere. My mommy and Aunt Carolyn, Aren't they stunning?
{The people not the frames

. Prayer Changes Things .
Amen to that! One of my dearest & best friends whom will call "Leah" made me this beautiful sign. It has the honor of residing on our living room mantel for everyone to see and I treasure it. Thank You Leah for the wonderful Christmas gift and just so you know... You can make me another one ANYTIME!
Hint: My Birthday is coming up in November

. Shoes .
A girl can never have to many! Enough said.

. Living Room Corner .
There were to many things to choose from in my living room so I just picked the whole corner. It's my favorite in the whole house. From the pictures w/ important loved ones to the tall green vases in the back and the books in which I reread all the time. It's a fave!

. Twilight .
Yep, I'm talking about it again. Seriously these are my MOST favorite items in the house right now! And if you don't know anything about this, You soon will. Just look closely to the books w/ the finger prints all over the covers; They all have been reread to many times to count. The last six months have been spent with Edward & Bella and their Love story! Go Team Edward! They stay CONTINUALLY in the Living room by my favorite reading chair.

. Picture of A Park .
This is my favorite picture in the dining room. Its alittle blurry but to me I saw it as life when it was simple. When a crisp Autumn stroll through the park was treasured in the a simple soul. Sweet nostalgia. Oh and yes, my walls are Red in the Dining room.

Here it is! Thanks Leah for the great tag!
I'm just going to tag two people, Natalie & Heather.
I can't wait to see them!

Happy Place

Well, After Yesterday's Lovely post about my PMS, I'm at least happy to share that things got better yesterday. One HUGE Heartfelt Thank You to Amber Finch for inviting me over for dinner and not caring that I came over dressed like a mess and rattled on about my bad PMS day! Amber, I just love you! Not only did she listen BUT she fed me = )

Then I went out w/ friends and saw the midnight release of Dark Knight. Now, me being a girl I have never been into the whole super hero movies w/ little interest BUT as for
Mr. Batman ...Can I possibly marry you? Every since Batman Begins--Which I L.O.V.E.D--I couldn't wait for the second Christian Bale installment and to me it lived up to it's hype! I thought it was WAY WAY awesome, All 3 hrs. of it! So yes, Everyone can relax...Tierra Found a Happy Place...At least for a while.

Watch. Out.

Ok, I woke up today and I have discovered that my emotions/feelings go as following: I HAVE PMS! I can't believe I'm going to blog about this but it's true. I am in a NO GOOD mood! I'm cranky, easily provoked, a litte hurt about something, AND It's my day off! WHY! Why today of all days? So here's what I want;

1. A cleaning Lady to clean my house because I simply
DO NOT WANT TOO or am I GOING TOO!

2. A nice big Chocolate Caramello Bar wouldn't hurt either!

3. A Car! My Aunt Carolyn is at work so I'm stuck here at the house till she gets home or until my other aunts take pitty on me an takes me somewhere. But, on the flip side I don't want to go anywhere! How's that for a mood swing? I just would like the car to be here so in case if I DO want to go somewhere I could on my own free will.
And finally 4. Now that I think about it, I haven't had lunch so if someone wanted to buy/make me lunch I might be appreciative! But then again I have NO CLUE on what I want!

Hopefully tomorrow might go a little better But then again...WATCH OUT!

Confession for July

Hello Everyone! Today I have a secret to share w/ you all. Are you ready? Sit down, this might be a shocker! Ok are you sitting down? Are you sure? Really and honestly this is hard for me to admit but they say the first step to rehab is admitting your problem.

So here goes….I Tierra Lynne Coleman; 22 yrs/ old of sound mind and body LOVE --repeat--LOVE to spend money {!!!} Phew! There I said it! Please do not think badly of me! Let me explain, today was a good day! It was PAYDAY! Sweet! Every time It comes around to this day I always start to think to myself--I have WAY to much “thinking” time on my hands--What am I going to buy this weekend? How horrible am I? I must also admit that the word spoiled has been linked to my name a time or two…Ok, maybe more BUT hold up, Wait just a minute before you go into that whole spoiled prissy speech. I am an only child. AND I do know how to work for the almighty dollar. I work at a hospital, need I say more? Alright, now the reason for posting this is the fact that this blog is not just about the everyday fun facts. It’s also a guide into what’s going on w/ me and as of today…IT’S PAYDAY! WhaAa - HoO! And w/ the weekend approaching my problem lies on how to rain in the shopping frenzy before I find myself attached to some frugal tightwad Utah husband who just wont understand the love or need that his dear sweet wife has for those killer shoes or that really sharp looking furniture that makes his living room look great! So here’s what my little brain was thinking today at work while trying to decide what was the best way to spend my money but yet not blow my money.

1. I need a haircut. But that’s going to be about $26 and I rather buy a pair of shoes!
2. My flat iron broke. Man, I really need a new one!
That would be about $45 if I wanna get a really good one!
3. Oh then there’s my room…I really want that bedding but it’s $$$
So yep that’s out of the question--Dang it!
4. Old Navy had this REALLY great top I could where to church this Sunday.
It’s only $24 and maybe it’s on sale!
5. Target had those killer gold shoes on sale that would go great w/ said top at old navy!
Humm could I get both?? Probably not!

Now, Do I need any of these things really bad??? Don’t answer that question!
So Now I wonder how will this conversation really go when it’s with that future hubby of mine! Maybe I can win it by pulling the
“You took so long to find me, I really deserve those ____ since I had to wait!” line?

Tag Your IT

Get to Know you Twos! Ok so this is a tag and I’m doing this so it will give Leah some kinda starter for opening her blog : ) So here’s how it works. List Two things about your self according to the subject and at the end tag three people you know to pass it along and Get to know them as well. So here goes! The Two’s on Me!

2 Musts in your Purse -
Well first of all; I always carry a big purse and sometimes if I’m in a hurry--which is a lot--I throw everything into it. So this was hard to narrow it down by two but I have noticed that whenever I restock my purse the two things that are always in there are; Q-Tips & Bobby pins! I go through more boxes of Q-Tips then anyone you’ve ever known! I use them for EVERYTHING and Bobby pins well, when you work in the hospital and have to have your hair up nonstop, It’s my only survival with my kind of hair!

2 Favorite Cleaning Supplies-
First up would be-Hands Down--The toilet magic cleaning Wand! I simply can not survive this world without it! I’m telling ya who ever invented this little wonder so I wouldn’t have to touch the toilet while cleaning--I L.O.V.E YOU!
Second would be the Ajax Liquid Dish Detergent- Red Ruby Grapefruit Smell. OoO I just love the smell of that stuff!

2 Favorite Foods-
Anything w/ shrimp in it, I consider it my favorite. If I had the money I would eat shrimp all the time! And two ANY kind of Sub! Quiznos, Subway, Charley’s, You name it I love it! Open up my wallet and you’ll find an assortment of coupons to them all!

2 Song Obsessions-
Right now would be Leavin by Jesse McCartney & ANYTHING by Taylor Swift! There were TOO many to choose from But I just LOVE LOVE LOVE her! And I’m so excited to go see her in concert in September! I picked the song "Id Lie" because we all know what it's like to like someone and know everything about them and yet still they have NO CLUE about how you feel or feel anyting in return! She writes all her songs and I know them all by heart But this one I play/sing alot!

2 Material Wants -
Wow! This was easy because there’s always something that you want in life! But at the top on my list would be this bedding at Target! I simply HAVE TO HAVE IT! Ever since my dad painted my room I’ve been on the hunt for a really sophisticated bedspread to represent the grown up me and Hopefully w/ my fingers crossed, It will be mine soon! Second, Now this really is a true material want and a “Yeah right Tierra..In your Dreams!” desire. These COACH purses! I swear if I had one of these babys I wouldn’t change my purse for YEARS…I promise!

I just thought this would be cute to do and give everyone something to read Cause I know you’ve all been dying to know these things right??? LOL Well ok maybe not but Hey this was cute! So now I tag Kathy, Carrie, & Leah. Which means you have to do it because you’ve been tagged! And because I said so : P

4th of July & Jenny/Justin's Reception

Happy Be-Lated 4th of July!

Well, it must be said that this week was definatily one for lot's of stress, laughter, tears, and more stress again! The 4th of July has always been my # 2 favorite holiday--Halloween # 1--Anyway, Jenny decided to have her wedding reception on the fourth putting plans along side w/ my families plans a little too close for comfort. But, I'm happy to report I'm alive and well. Lot's and lot's of phone calls made to Leah to distress the issues! Leah you truly don't understand how much i appreciated you answering your phone so much!

This year for the fourth we were very happy to have family in from Utah whom we haven't seen in yrs. So my sweet aunt Carolyn planned a big cook out during the day for all the family to come to. I was so sad because I didn't give that much attention to help out with it due to wedding plans and out town guest coming in for the event BUT even though the 4th started rainy and just plain ugly, It was wonderful by the time the food arrived--Everything always gets better when theres food--The sun came out and spirits were high as old stories were shared and a huge since of family unity came together.

Erica and Jamie were able to come in for the wedding sorta...sorta meaning they got the dates mixed up and had to be back home the day of the reception But Erica was a HUGE HUGE help to me for coming up to the church and setting things up. I have never laughed and cryed--good cry-- so much in all my life listening to her stories.

Since they had to miss the official reception, We took picture of them to prove that they actually were at the "reception" Haha!

The reception turned out better then all my worry and panic thought it would! I actually caught the bouquet! So yes this does make three times the brides maid but at least this time THE bouquet was MINE! A big shout out to Jacob for being the best of best man I've ever seen and helping me go w/ the flow and being a great co-host! So here is a few pics from the reception, if your friends w/ me on facebook, theres more there.

This little guy is Noah...OoOo he's is just to cute! He was a big hit at the wedding.

He cleans up real nice...LOL or it could be the new suite!

I saved this last picture as the "Favorite" She looks stunning!
