Love Affair

All week we have endured rain. Rain. Rain. Rain!
So, for a quickie post to see you through the weekend, I thought I would finally introduce to you my two current favorite loves.
Is this going to be one of those post where people could talk and say
"look at that! All that girl thinks about is her material things that makes her happy"
You know, like those nosy busy body neighbors I know every one has in there block!?!
So to answer, Why YES this is a material post in which it does make this girl happy.

It ain't no thang. Really. I just heart them.
That's all.
A few weeks ago when the lovely government graced me with a mighty nice refund check--don't ya just love that system?--This purse by GUESS had been singing to me a very seductive song of "you belong with me" for weeks.
Well, I just couldn't refuse.
Shes huge. Shes darling. And she screams summer lovin.

For the shoes.
Stella Gladiator Flats.

I cannot even Begin to tell you how long I have been having a love affair with this pair of shoes.
I remember that day ever so clearly. I walked into the Belk department store and was just minding my own business when I heard this gladiator chant.Instead of the roar "We will rock you" it went"YOU will rock me"

However, when I went to try them on and confirm that this love affair was heated, steamy and a perfect match for a summer fling...I then proceeded to have a heart attack when I saw the price tag.
$90 smackers.
And THAT was the discount price.
So, like a sad ending to a no happily ever after...I walked away. But, I was not about to go down without a fight. Every Friday when the sales would go up for the weekend, I would stop by and pray for a MAJOR discount miracle.
To sum this up...One night, that was not even a Friday, I stopped by the mall to just to have a shoe moment, when a sign was up that said 60 percent discount for a summer kickoff.

All shoes.

Ladies...this WAS a SHOE MIRACLE.

I swear there were shoe angels singing a heavenly hallelujah chorus as I rushed to the counter, asked for my size and whipped out that debit card like a speeding bullet. The end.

PS. UGH!!! I need a Tan! Also, Red is my current summer kick off color. Really. If ya cant tell.
PSS. New Moon trailer revealed on MTV awards Sunday! GO TWILIGHT! I'm excited. Really. If ya cant ...tell.

A Bathroom Confession

Ladies...I have a girl confession to make.
Take a look at these photos of my bathroom.
My tolie. The "loo" as the British call it.
Now, I try to keep my bathroom pretty clean. Really, I do.

{notice the handsome devil Robert Pattinson peeking in the picture on the front magazine in my basket}
{LOL when I go to the toilet...at least I like to look at something hot}

If you were to walk in my bathroom right now, this is how it would look.
I clean my toilet and shower religiously and in an odd sense..I love to clean my counter top because I can use my wonderful Orange citrus cleaner.

But ladies...alas. I admit it. I'm coming out of the cleaning closet.
My shelves stay like this constantly. Ann, don't have a heart attack LOL
No matter how hard I try or more cute basket to hold things and makeup bags to store stuff in...It all just stays right out in the open.

You know what though, I really LOVE to organize. REALLY.
Am I the only one who gets a thrill out of organizing and cleaning her makeup products?
But, in the end as I go about my week and get ready for work and such...It all just stays out in the open. Maybe this is a girl thing but I found it quite funny as I walked into the bathroom this morning and just had to share my quirk.
The end.

C.H.O.C.O.L.A.T.E.

You know your a Chocoholic when you make an 11 o'clock night run to the store and this is all you buy.
I'm cracking up right now as I remember the look on the cashiers face
when I went through the line and this is all she rings up.
Chocolate.
Chocolate.
And more chocolate.
NO. I'm not at the time of the month. Typical Tierra thing.

Also, new reason number #1 I've found of the "good" qualities of still being single.
No husband saying this.
"It's 11 o'clock at night. Do you really have to have this?"
Or this.
"You really DONT need that."
Then, I'd lay the smack down of "OH YES I DO" and do it anyway.
Like I do now. Ha-Ha!

On another note.
Have you ever tryed the Betty Crocker Microwave "Warm Delights"?
They've been out for quite some time but I just now tried them.
If your in the mood for a brownie and don't want to wait the stupid 45 minute process or have a whole entire pan to temp you for the week...This is the way to go.
I repeat. THIS IS THE WAY TO GO.
I admit I was a bit skeptical with the whole "just add water" and microwave "maybe crap" taste BUT
I fell in love last night. It hit the chocolate wave right on the spot.

PS. No. Not all of this cocolate was comsumed in one sitting.
Maybe, two sittings...LOL

I Love to see the Temple

Tonight, my thoughts have been turning to the summer when we went to Nauvoo.
It was just a week right after the temple was rededicated that my mom, aunt Carolyn, and myself went to all the sites for a week long trip ending in Nauvoo.
And the Nauvoo temple is so special.
I'm so thankful for temples. Their beauty and peace give our souls a refreshing that's stands the test and trials of this life. I'm so truly at peace to know that one day, I shall see my mother again.
As I was trying to get to sleep last night, it really sunk in how much I know and realize.
I shall be with my mom and my family and through this life, our temples seal us for all time and eternity.
A beautiful knowledge.

On another note.

Being single is hard. Now, no pitty sighs or phone calls of "hang in there Tierra".
I truly am okay. It's just that it makes looking at beautiful temples and being within their presence ease my mind to know that someday---hopefully that someday is soon lol---
I shall and will be married there.

With all my heart I want that with the right one and to be able to bring children into this life under that sacred and powerful covenant that seals my own testimony of knowing.
A final, beautiful thing.

Sweet Sixteen

Hailey Blaine.
Today, marked a very important day in every girls life.
A sweet sixteen.
And this beautiful brown eyed girl is the bomb.
No, srsly. She. IS. THE. BOMB.
I stand 100% correct and speak for the entire family and say that we all truly love her.
Hailey is her own unique self and I'm positive that she is one of Heavenly Fathers favorites.

If you were to meet Hailey, she would walk right up to you,
introduce herself with a huge smile and sincere bright eyes.

Have you ever met any one that openly excepts you sincerely with a face lit up like a firecracker of Wel-come-ness?
You would if you met Hailey.

She is growing up into a stunning young lady and alittle smarty pants too. VERY smart is our Hailey. Now, I wont go into a list of 16 things BUT I COULD and they'ed outshine us all but instead, I'll share a little favorite Hailey-ism. When Hailey was a little girl in preschool, most little girls would love princesses and such. Well, not our Hailey. Hailey worshiped the King. Elvis. Thats right, I can here you all thinking.....?????..... But she loved the King and his music and so for Halloween in pre-school, Hailey went as none other then Elvis. It was so stinkin great and SO Hailey. With her bouncing curls and firecracker remarks she makes this family look good. Also, she was the first one to believe me when I told her about twilight and read it and get into twilight. Yeah baby!!!

So, last night, I took Hailey to see Star Trek and had the privilige of being with her when the clock turned midnight and it was just the two of us as we watched the hotness of those two above.
She loved it and I loved being with her!
So...HAPPY SWEET SIXTEEN Hailey-Bay.
I love everything about you sweetie and you deserve the world.

PS. Hailey dear notice the Fray playing with your song on the side ----->
PSS. Hailey, I was totally NOT the one who pushed you into a dollhouse when we were little LOL
I promise!
PSSS. To those who have not seen Star Trek...What the heck are you waitin for! GO SEE IT!
PSSSS. When we were in line for drinks last night at the movies, they had the New Moon poster up! I just died! Is it November yet?

Dress Up

Little Girls.
When I was a little girl, the cute little girl in red was my best friend & little cousin.
Carrie.
To this day, she is still one of my best friends.
She found this picture a few months back and I wanted to post it.
It makes me smile just looking at it.
Here we are, just two little girls playing dress up in her moms old dance costumes.
Life back them was so much more easy.

Now, that cute little girl in red is a young woman getting married in August.
We're so excited.
As of now the "the" dress has been bought.
Invitations about to go out.
And I am right where I want to be, As I plan her bridal shower.
Carrie is everything a girl next door should be.
She's sweet, sincere, and has a smile that is so graceful.
Wait till you see the engagement photos!

Awe, time is running away with it all and sometimes I wish I could just turn back the clock just for a day and be that little girl with her sidekick playing dress up and barbies.
Everything about being prissy and feminine is truly a sweet gift to be a girl.
Now, back to my bridal shower plans. {{giggles}}

PS. No one please dont get Carrie started on stories growing up! She would tell you all my faults and the MANY things I would boss her around. Hehe.
PSS. Go Kris on American Idol!
PSSS. Have you seen the New Moon Official poster yet? I have. {{Oh. Edward}}

The Return

The art of a smore. It's a wonderful thing.
The art of a life. It's a simple thing.
For me, as long as it has smores...I'm good to go.

So, for the return. The new change. I want this to be a good thing.
So where to begin, where am I at.

Really.

I'm 23 years old. Just a girl. A girl with dreams.
I have a job. A Family.
And a life filled with friends and love.
I'm real and I make mistakes.
As for the rest...
I have faith.
And I realize everyday how much more bigger the picture really is
of this life & its purpose
our Heavenly Father has instore for us.
And for now, thats enough.

PS. I'm also just a alitte bit in love with my new header. Just alittle. *Wink*

Shakespeare "The Rest is Silence"

{This picture is of the old train station thats just 3 minutes from my home. Everytime I pass it at night, and it's all lit up...I think about the 1940s and wartime. And all those men & women that had to say goodbye. After the train left... The rest was Silence.}

Dear Readers & Friends,
This week, I have been doing a lot of thinking. When I first started this blog, it was purely for a release. A way for me to let my life go on and to remember it by. So, as the months passed and more friends and comments started to come my way, it was like a rush. A happy rush like when you see you've got mail except "You've got Comments". We all know we love comments. You know you do, and I fully admit this.

So, here comes the rain. You start to put your heart and soul into posting. Sometimes sitting hours at the computer uploading pictures. For me, life was spent WAY to much time blogging then a life of living. And with that, they say to get more comments you have to comment back. It becomes addicting, let me tell ya. I admit this.

Now, have you ever noticed how you get more comments on something really random and fun but not the real inner you post that you want people to really see? If you answer no then well...good luck with that. If you answer yes, then you see where this is going. Hopefully.

So dear readers...I'm pulling the comment button for a month or two. I'm not going to be leaving commenting up. For how long? I don't really know. Maybe this is just from the mood I'm in or Maybe its been the rain we've had all week but for along time now...the comment cycle can be a rewarding one but yet addictive one. Does this mean, I wont be commenting to you? No. I will support my friends and comment away. But for me, I don't want you to feel like this blog is up just for the "blog fame" of it. Or that I am a commenter for comments. I shall still be around. But for now, maybe a month...maybe a few weeks, No comments on this blog. This past week, Feelings were hurt and the comments just to get comments thing does not sit with me. The whole blog fame of it doesn't matter. Blogging and commenting should be for fun. To uplift. To comment for the right reason not just so you can receive a comment back on your blog. So with this, I bid my commenting for my blog a bittersweet farewell.

As for the rest, I want to get back to why I started this blog in the first place. The thrill of posting just for fun and for family friends to have a peek. So, please continue if you like, as a silent snooper...You have my permission.

As for the rest...as Shakespeare said..." the rest is Silence"

Dear Mom,
I didnt know if you knew,
So I'm taken this chance to say,
But I had the Best days with you Today.
