Team Kate. Just sayin.

Dear Kate,
I just adore your style. I adore your attitude. I SO watched you on the view. And tonight's episode of taking your little girls to a tea party...TOO CUTE. And next week's episode, they say your gonna find your one true love, the label maker. MINE TOO! Can we hang out?
Just sayin hun... I'm team Kate. You see, I have watched your show every week since day one.

BTW...my BFF Jen...She thinks you rock too. Were just sayin.

Yep, I know the media plays this crap up WAY to much! And yep...I'm sick of hearing/seeing it just like everybody else. I'm just stating that me, myself, and I...Team Kate. Oh and Jen too!

7 Things VII

I was tagged awhile back ago and thought Now would be a cute time to post it.
The deal is 7 things you didn't- wouldn't- know about little Ole' me. Let's begin.

1. I Prefer to shop alone. Always have.
Occasionally I have a few girlfriends or cousins to tag along
but MAINLY I would rather be by myself.
I can spend as much or little time in stores at my own pace just browsing.
Alone time is good for the Soul.

2. Board Games. I just can't stand them.
I think they're a waste of money and if you have a party
and pull these out...I'll just go find your book section or browse your DVDs.

3. The Kennedy Camelot.
I ADORE the legacy of Jackie & Jack Kennedy.
I'll watch it, buy it, read it, study it of anything about these two.

4. Send me those Roses future hubby!
I think receiving flowers/roses is something of a lost art.
I was in RS one Sunday and one lady raised her hand
and said it was a waste.
To me, yes..they will die but the moment,
the memory of receiving them enlightens the soul.

5. I am a YouTube junkie.
I cant tell you how many videos I'll find and watch over and over.
Music videos, Operas, Old TV moments...it goes on and on I tell ya!

6. Some girls dream of big fancy wedding dresses...
I dream of EXTREMELY nice wedding invitations.
To me, the invitation sets the stage and I'll spend more thought/money on my invites them I will my dress. I LOVE getting them in the mail. I save all of them.

7. I just know I was meant for a different era
because I am OBSESSED with British period or any Historical Movies.
Pride & Prejudice, Emma, Sense & Sensibility, Persuasion,
North & South, Victoria & Albert etc etc and now
I'm DIEING to see this movie
The young Victoria that came out this year in England.

So, there you have it! If you liked this tag and would like to do it yourself...
I now pronounce you tagged!

Birthday Recap

I'm finally getting around to posting pictures from Angelus's Birthday. The little man had a blast. His birthday this year was on a week day so we did a class party on the day of his birthday and then a family party the following Saturday. As traditions states, I ALWAYS take sugar cookies w/ a drop of the most color coded icing with a sticker stick of what ever theme we go with. I remember my mom always coming to class throughout my entire elementary yrs. and so I've been doing this for the last three for Angelus!

When Angelus got home from school that day...we made sure he had a few presents to open and then the rest we told him he'd just have to wait till Sat.

I saw this cute idea from a friends blog {thanks Ann} to where you take a medium small tin can and turn it into a birthday tin with all your favorite candies and such. He loved it! I filled it with glow sticks, dinosaur eggs that hatch and candy! I think this will be a new tradition! And SO easy. Just look in your cabinets and find something you don't use and clean out and go shopping at the dollar store!

One of the presents he got to unwrap was a shirt I made just for him with his name and Roman number VII/7 Again so EASY to do. Just buy a shirt, the iron packages from Wal-mart. Download a picture, print and iron on! BUT make sure you read the instructions! !! !

Of course...we had to go with a glorious fattening food city cake! !! ! Saturday we kept it low key this year with just family. Aunts, Uncles, Grannies, and all his favorite cousins. Lee & Mary--his parents--cooked killer food with shrimp, asparagus, pasta, sauteed mixed vegetables and mushrooms with a cream sauce base and shrimp cocktail galore! They are high class cooks if I do say so myself!

Again, Happy 7th Birthday baby!

Here's to the Shades

On a sad note today, I discovered that my FAVORITE pair of sunglasses were stepped on and chipped.
Let us all have a moment of silence in AWE of the Stunna shades that were my friends.
{............... {silence} .............}
They shall be remembered.
Oh dear, I guess that means I"ll just have to go buy another pair. Isnt that such a shame? Farewell my beloved. I will treasure our fond trips to the Biltmore & Atlanta that we had together.

Cupcake Moment

I deserve a cupcake. Tonight, I pulled off my first enrichment meeting with a temperature, high blood pressure, and hardly a voice! But, you know what?
It went GREAT! I'm so thankful for the prayers and love of great sisters.

The Biltmore Estate

Since I seem to have nothing but time on my hands...I uploaded all my pictures from the Biltmore. In one word "STUNNING". I know how people can be wealthy but THIS wealthy? IN-SANE. Everything was beautiful. Parlors, Breakfast rooms, Tapestries Rooms, Billiard Room, etc etc. SO MANY many MANY rooms with names! If I was ever a guest back then, I would have needed a GPS or at least some kind of map to get to and from places! NO LIE! They give you a map booklet just to get through it! Twist, turns, LONG massive hallways and Massive stairs. I kept saying "unbelievable" alot. But, sorry no pictures on the insides. They had security, cameras everywhere! But, at least I can say I have seen REAL Renoir art :)
For more detail and pictures inside of the Biltmore home go here Biltmore Estate

The detail was SO beautiful. The mansion expands over 4 acres of land.

The stable yard is now turned into gifts shops and market food places.
But, all of it was still in it's original form.

The gardens were SO beautiful. Dear future hubby...you could propose there if you want. Just sayin.

After touring the grounds and house, and a trip to the gift shops, we had lunch at the elegant Bistro. It was so pretty inside and it was one of those occasions that me and Kristy decided you just order something no matter the price. So, I just went for it! And it was delicious! !! !
SO Ladies...if you ever find yourself near Tennessee; Remember I'm only 1 hour and 1/2 from the Biltmore and it's a must MUST!

Hold Up...High Blood Pressure?

So. I think I may be on to a weird September tradition. And it's name shall be called Tonsillitis. Thats right folks, I have it....AGAIN! And again it's in the month of September. Check out this post from last years September --click here September 08--I swear...a few days ago I started to feel it. You know, that dreaded feeling of all things ickie-ness? Accept this time I have a new friend to worry about. Last year they thought I might have mono with it. This year...High Blood pressure. And I mean HIGH Blood pressure. CRAZY-NESS I tell ya. Maybe I otta stop watching the New Moon trailer? To many swooning pictures of Edward? LOL So...this years verdict, Acute Tonsillitis with a High Blood pressure watch. They checked me twice before they would let me leave today at the doctors office and my aunt who is a CNA has to keep a close watch. As of right now...it's still to high for an "almost 24 yr. old" BUT the good news is, not as high as it was in the office. I'm on a high dosage of antibiotics and off from work till Friday.

So, everytime I get sick...I come up with my music playlist that comforts me. Last year it was Coldplay. This time...it's a mix. So, here's what I've been listening too all day. Honestly I have NO clue on why these songs. Maybe it's the drug effect??? Happy Listening! I'll just be chillaxin. Here at home. Oprah to watch. And my books to read. Heck...maybe I'll even breakout my seasons of One Tree Hill like I did last year. Lata.

I have declared this song as highly annoying and highly entertaining. I think it makes me feel like it's my cheerleader days all over again. Whateva. I'm rockin out to it with my little pinky finger. Wouldn't want to over do it. LOL

With New Moon coming out and my love for Death Cab for Cutie...I replay this over and over. It's the first song released that will be on the movie soundtrack. I love it!

I LOVE love LOVE this song.
The words...the voices...powerful.
Stunna love for Kings of Leon.

And to complete this odd mix...Love Story

Tomorrow, one of the biggest wishes and dreams I have ever had is coming true. Okay, that sounded REALLY cheesy but IT IS true. I live one hour and 1/2 away from where the Largest family Estate/ Mansion of America is and I HAVE NEVER BEEN. Well, remember my friend Kristy who I tagged along with to Atlanta? Well, she is EVER so wonderful as to let me come with her and her step-mother to the
BILTMORE ESTATE.
Let me repeat that because as I'm writing this, I still slightly dont believe that I am actually going....

Darling

I am a plate lover. It's just that simple folks. So when i was in TJ Max tonight, I saw these and their sweet little price tag of $2.99....SOLD. Oh...and yes, my bedroom is pink. My not-cool- dad refuses to paint it again. Something about him repainting it for like the 3rd time in two years??? I have no clue what he's talking about. Oh well. So admire my new pretty plates.

09.03.09 A Birthday

Hi my little man. Though your really not so little. As the days have been lining up toward this day, my heart has been breaking just a little on how 7 yrs old is just not a baby anymore.

On September 3rd, seven years ago, You & I became an official couple. There has not been a day to pass that you have not had my heart. To tell you a little bit about yourself, you are VERY polite. You take care of your family around you and foremost always looking after your granny and asking her sweet things to check up on her. You love to have everyone around you and have us watch your awesome dance moves. In height you are 4'4 and just about as tall as your 5'2 auntie tierra. We look really funny when i hold you standing up and your feet are only 3 inches from the floor. You just started the first grade and already was tested at being above average in your reading skills. You says words and sentences that only a grown up would say. M&M chocolate chip cookies are your favorite and mine too SO we love to make special "just because we can" trips to the mall just for a cookie. You love to fish with your dad and rockin out to music in the car to sing by yourself {telling me to stop} is a must. Your also becoming a backseat driver. Oh how I love this stage of telling me what to do. You also informed me the other day that 24 was just "really old" LOL in which i told you to remember who takes you to go get cookies LOL You currently have a huge crush on your 16 yr. old 2nd cousin Hailey and always wants to know when Hailey is coming up to play video games or basketball with you. I promise will break it to you nice & easy when you fully understand that even though yes...were in Tennessee but we don't date/marry cousins. You were recently in Carrie's wedding a few weeks back and you were the ring barrier. You were the studliest ring barrier anyone had ever seen in a tux. We also had to bribe you in order to do it and then you waved to the crowd during the entire ceremony and then proceeded to do some major break dancing skills at the reception...Stealing the show from the bride & groom LOL.

To sum it up my little man, you are one of a kind. One in a Million. A Super awesome kid. I love you with all my heart and just when i think i cant love you anymore then i already do...You go and tell me little things about my mom...your favorite favorite aunt and all the things you still remember that you two used to play together. It was one of the hardest things i ever had to go through was telling you about aunt mert going to heaven & praying that you would still somehow remember her. And you do.
Thank you for that my sweet little man.
I wish you a VERY HAPPY 7th BIRTHDAY
loves, Auntie Tierra

PS. And just so you know, you make me laugh doubled over when you see me reading/watching twilight and start running through the house saying loudly "TiERRa LoVES Edward....TieRRA LoVES Edward" over and over and over....Oh how i just adore you.
