Twilight

Oh My Goodness! Where to begin! I'm not sure if everyone knows but I am a HUGE reader! Out of all my friends I think I am the only one who could stay up starting at 10 at night and read through till 6 am the next {with a few breaks in between} I just love reading and the feeling you get when you curl up in the rocking chair at night w/ a cup of Hot Chocolate and a freshly new book makes my heart and insides smile! I love to be swept away into someone Else's story. Where they live, what they do etc and if it has a love story in it then you've just sent me to the moon! I love the classics by Jane Austen and I'm pretty much a historical kinda gal reader.

So which leads me to the book cover pictured above. Never in my life have I ever been into the whole si-fi or murder mystery and Yes...I'll say it...I've never read Harry Potter. So when I started hearing the buzz on the Book Twilight I was intrigued and when I was at the book store during Christmas I asked to see the book and if the sales girl new anything about it and the first thing she says is it a love story with Vampires.

Tierra immediately puts the book back on the shelf and says moving on! I've just never been into that sorta area at all. Couldn't stand the movies w/ vampires and ware wolves etc Hated the shows so there was NO WAY I was going to buy and read this book. No matter how romantic people proclaimed I dug my heels in and that was that. Like I said I love the classics, historical and inspiration w/ happy endings.

Last weekend I went to the new Books A Million store and was desperately searching for something to buy and use my gift card I had received during Christmas. Next thing I new I found myself looking at the book Twilight again {I'm always drawn to really cute or flashy book covers} So i thought what do I have to loose and if I hate it then it's coming back to the store. I also picked up another book that I planned on reading before Twilight which I did and reluctantly put off picking up Twilight. I finally talked to one of my best girlfriends Christy whose always into reading stuff like that and asked if she had a read it. She and her sister immediately begin on how romantic it is and that I have to read it sometime, So I told my crazy whim and that I had bought it and of course she sent me off with a pat on the hand that I was going down and would fall in love with this book. Which of course I'm thinking maybe or maybe not!

As you've pretty much figured out by now.....I FELL IN LOVE WITH TWILIGHT!

OOOO is all I can say and better yet it's written be a Mormon! Who knew! Vampire love story written by a Mormon girl LOL now that's funny! So to all my fellow members NO it's not a church story and NO the author didn't fall off the wagon and go bad and write an evil book.

To put it simply, it really is a VERY good book! If I can read it and couldn't put it down, you have to give it a try. It's also going to be turning into a movie and I'm thrilled!

This has to be one of the most sweetest, enduring, ROMANTIC, stories I've ever read!

To the fans who have read it, I hope you check out Stephenie Meyer's{author} web page and see the new release pictures of the people who are playing Edward and Bella!

So here you have it, My latest news! As they say...Happy Reading!

Christmas Time 2007

Alright...I finally got my pictures uploaded to the computer and now I can post and put a full report on Christmas.

But, There is one little thing...Sorry there's NO pic's of me. Because I was the one doing all the photos. My family just doesn't get into them so I have to be the one going around and saying "STAND STILL AND SMILE" {said very nicely I assure you} So here we go with the pictures...

This was our beautiful Christmas tree this year. I simply heart ornaments, so that's all me and Carolyn decorated with.

Christmas was such a rush this year. First the season started off w/ that blasted cold which delayed the tree going up and then came the job offer that took a few days of making my self sick of worry on what to do and then all of a sudden it was like a week till Christmas and me and my cousins still hadn't decorated Christmas cookies! So in a rush to finally do something Christmas my two younger faved cousins {who are beautiful by the way} Carrie and Hailey came over along w/ my nephew Angelus and we did Christmas Cookies and a Gingerbread Christmas Train. We ordered pizza, rocked out to the New Chipmunk CD and tryed not to kill are younger cousin Tanner who's 11 and drives us CRAZY! But, then again Santa was watching so we tryed to be good girls!

These are my cookies I did all by myself. It's Santa, wreath, tree, and when all else fails...

Do polka dots!

We then started on the WAY TO LONG PROCESS of the Gingerbread Christmas Train.

You can tell by this pic that we were taking this baby way serious!

The finished Project that took like forever!

Christmas Eve Came so Fast and I finished my shopping w/one day to go! My whole family always comes over on Christmas Eve night for a Christmas Party, So before the house was full of guest, I took these of the living room and mantle before everyone arrived.

I loved our stockings this year. From left to right it goes Mary, Aunt Carolyn, Me, Angelus, Aunt Charlotte, and Lee

These are my Lovely girlie's, Jenny & Christy. I don't know where I would be without these two!

Santa Clause Came! He even left a note for my nephew Angelus! And drank his glass coke! Patrick family tradition. We always get those mini glass cokes to drink at Christmas. It's been that way since I can remember! So of course we had to share with Santa!

I took this right before my nephew came into the living room on Christmas morning!

My perty stocking, which was filled w/ all kinds of goodies!

Lee & Mary on Christmas Morning! Aren't they cute...Mary and me were up till 3 am wrapping Lee's last minute Christmas gifts for everyone, that he REFUSED TO WRAP HIMSELF!

Christmas this year was really wonderful! I can't believe I can actually say that! I received lot's of gifts and I'm truly blessed. That night I got to go visit my grandparents who I don't get to see at all and I have the sweetest Granny.

Even though things were crazy that month and rushed and not well organized, by Christmas Eve night everything fell into place.

Job Offer, What a Decision!

Wow! So much time has elapse since I last posted anything but in truth between work, being sick and trying to get ready for the holidays all posting was put off till later! So Where to begin!
After getting better, a friend of mine called and offered me the job of a lifetime. A position as the head office manger for a small Doctors office. Your probably thinking...Wow that's great news and what an offer and it was so for my first shocker...I turned it DOWN! Yes, I know what your thinking but really and truly after LOT'S of praying and nights not knowing what to do and time spent in the Bishops office, the best thing for me right now is to let this pass. Even though money is not great at the hospital, I couldn't ask for a better place to work. With truly caring and lovely people, I love the communication we all have and stories we share and getting to walk alot and see people everyday and giving them a smile, makes me feel good. Sure some days are not so great but it was breaking my heart to leave which will have to happen sometime but this job offer simply came at the wrong time. I would be shifted into a whole new world going in at 8 in the morning and not knowing really when I would be getting off between either 6 or 7 depending on appointments and such. Having to learn all kinds of billing and insurance claims etc... Just really over whelmed me. This came directly in the middle of my first Christmas without my mom and me trying to take things over in my own way and then trying to be at a new job with new people and system would have just set my system into melt down. It already did in my decision making. I beat out alot of other women and when i made the call to the doctor to let him know my answer he couldn't have been more nicer. The job is actually still mine when I'm ready so This is my first
news that took place during Christmas season. When I made the final call I had peace in my mind and with that it made getting through the holidays alot easier.
