weekending: i want this bedding!

 i just needed to blog tonight. nothing big or nothing amazing going on. just the simpleness of wanting to share my news. though be it ever so small it is. weekends for me are huge. when you work on a every-other-weekend-off-bases, you make the ones you have off, count. 

for me, i like to make them count with family. simple house chores. shopping. grocery lists. maybe a movie. a new nail color. new recipes to try. and sometimes, a new weekend outfit. and now that it's spring, sitting outside and swinging from our old hanging wicker bench.

has anyone else noticed i only blog when it's my weekend off? sheesh...what a slacker! somebody should fire this blog owner....that girl, puh-leassse! i started my weekend off a day early. since it's friday, i was lucky enough to have it off. can i just say how in love i am with three day weekends? well....i am. 
today has been lovely. sunshine. no make up (okay...maybe a little). hair in a big blob on top of head. lunch out with my favorite aunt and nephew and we went to our favorite flower spot to let my aunt pick out her mothers day flowers. i can't think of a better thing to do then to waste away in a stroll through flowers and sunshine. 

this weekend brings of course, mothers day. it's a bitter sweet day but yet i have no problem with it. i have been blessed a thousand times over to have my aunt carolyn in my life. she is my rock. my everything. and for that, i celebrate her. the lucky duck (darling) is going to be treated to a manicure at my favorite salon (though she doesnt know it yet) while i am treating my self to a pedicure ( i mean...what else am i suppose to do while waiting on her ....*rolls eyes*) with this stunning essie color. i also bought her a new purse (which she dosent know yet either lol). 

  my weekend will also consist of a presidency meeting at my house. along with hanging these curtains-the light blue, a trip to the walllllmart, and baking this. or maybe this. or maybe both. who knows! 
sometimes i don't know whether i'm coming or going lol
