Alexa's Bridal Shower & Recipe

Alexa, my other fabulous cousin is getting married at the end of August. Can we say "kill them now" to Carrie & Alexa for pretty much having their weddings back to back?!?!? I mean srsly. What's a girl to do but TWO showers, TWO dresses, TWO new pairs of shoes? I'm tellin ya, it's such the tizzy. LOL Okay. I hope you here the sarcasm crap in that speech but I LOVE them both and my whole childhood/growing up/seen every crap stage/lowest cry moments are all wrapped up with these two. Therefore, i was happy to do it! LOVE YA!

Anywho, today was Alexa's bridal shower and the color theme was complete opposite of Carries.
You can see her shower by clicking here. For Alexa's shower it was all about black & white with a POP of red. Scarlet red. Oh how i LOVED this color scheme.

The invite. My FAVORITE invite I've made yet!

The bride to be. Well sorta--haha Alexa!

Notice the candle holders? They might look familiar LOL because I used them at Carries only they were hot pink! But, we all agreed we LOVE like ADORE them in the red. Yep, I'm vain enough to admire my own creation. I can do that you know.

Reminds me of Twilight. Red/Black theme though Alexa hasn't a clue what Twilight is about.

Carrie & me were talking today and we decided that I'm a punch aholic. Only without the alcohol part. I'm always expanding my punch recipes so with Alexa's I found this OUT OF THIS WORLD Strawberry Daiquiri Punch recipe. Not to mention but uh...it color coordinated perfectly!

Strawberry Daiquiri Punch
1 bag of frozen strawberries
2 cans of frozen limeade mix {though I say only use 1}
3 cans of frozen strawberry daiquiri mix
2 2liter sprites chilled
3/4 cup of pineapple juice

In punch bowel combine limeade mix/ daiquiri mix/ pineapple juice and pour your first 2liter of chilled sprite. Add frozen bag of strawberries on top to add decor and as a supplement for ice.

I had so many cups of this. I had to go the bathroom SOMETHING FIERCE after the shower!

And of course I ALWAYS do favors...I came up with this WAY cute idea of giving out a little bag of Oreo cookies. It color schemed SO WELL. There was so many people there that I ran out!
And Hailey...out of all the food we had She went right for her bag of Oreos.
I think though for awhile...I'm CLOSED for all Bridal shower business. But wait...you wanna hear a really funny joke that's not really a joke? My Other...other cousin Melanie SHE'S GETTING MARRIED IN OCTOBER! I'm tellin ya people, it's apparently wedding season in my family in my DEAR FUTURE LATE HUBBY didn't get the memo!

Thee Dinner is Served

Well, Apparently I can cook.

Or...at least I try and make it look pretty :)
Okay, so I'm NOT really a cooker. I might be -could be but I really don't have anyone to cook for and "try" to impress.
HOWEVER
They say that to get to a Man's heart is through his stomach.
Well, DEAR FUTURE HUBBY WHO IS BEYOND LATE
Does this help? Will this entice you to come out of your closet?
Not THAT closet but at least what ever dumb ugly rock your hiding under!

Whelp. Anywhos this is the dinner I fixed on Monday and it really turned out well So I decided to share! Enjoy :)
Bow Tie Asparagus W/ either--you decide--Chicken, Shrimp, or Ham.
{we prefer shrimp} 1 box of shrimp scampi "Sea Pack" brand from Sam's club
1 cup of Heavy cream
2 tablespoons of Parmesan cheese
3 cups of asparagus cut into pieces
1 cup of diced tomatoes
1 box of bow tie pasta
1 tablespoon diced garlic

In large saucepan cook the whole box of shrimp scampi or chicken
Cut asparagus into pieces. Enough for three cups. Then place in a microwave baking dish and cover all the way with water. Cook in microwave for 10 minutes.
Dice tomatoes for 1 cup.
After shrimp is done remember to remove the hard shell at the end. Let sit.
Bring water in large pot for pasta to boil then add pasta. Cook for 8-9 minutes.
In another sauce pan bring heavy cream, Parmesan, and 1 tablespoon of diced garlic to boil. Stirring constantly.

After pasta is done, drain well and drain the asparagus.
Add all ingredients back into large pot. Serve on plates with light parsley sprinkled on top and enjoy!

Dear Future Hubby::St. Patricks Day Excuses::

Dear future...
to slow moving,
probably stopped to get a chili dog,
paying more attention to a sports game,
has his head stuck in a book,
forgot to set his alarm,
dating the WRONG person,
hopefully NOT stuck on a farm,
better not be chasing a blonde,
Needs to be thinking of Tennessee,
looking for love in all the WRONG places,
heard I fell in love with Edward first,
starting to get lame,
probably stuck in a toilet,
better not have went to Europe without me,
has a terrible sense in direction,
too stubborn to pray for the right direction….HUBBY.

Valentine Embarrassment Round 2

Well, Ladies, Gals, & Darlins another Valentines Day has come and gone. And yes…Another Valentines Reckless stupidity adventure came to your dear sweet Tierra.
Only this time, this year,
I was so FREAKIN happy to have not been on a date.
I sincerely hope I have not jinxed myself. Next year, if I’m in a relationship…. ladies, remind me to just stay home with the stud and save my poor embarrassed soul from further V-Day escapades.
I’m sure your all wondering...
“Well what in the world happened?”
Oh… only pure embarrassment to my poor single soul. That’s all.

To begin with, you might want to check out my story of last years Valentines Day.
See here-V-Day Embarrassment Story # 1
If you just want a small recap, it’s goes like this. Last year. The Big V-day. Made cupcakes. Then. Outside Movie theater. Very cold. Locks keys in car. Was not happy. End of Story.

So, now let’s recap of this year 2009 V-Day Embarrassment. To begin with I was determined to get my nails painted Red. Why? Well, I’m a girl. A single girl at that and by golly, I was going to do something cute for myself come hill or high water. I get myself all dressed cute at home, and head to the nail salon. After a freakin two hour wait---yes ladies, I was VERY determined---and chatter from a Chinese lady who can’t speak a word of English, I finally got my nails painted.
They turned out quite cute if I do say so myself.

To all Single Gentlemen passing through, notice NO ring on thee left hand?In the words of Beyonce
if you like it then you shoulda put a ring on it”

I met up with my wonderful wonderful wonderful aunt Carolyn and my stud--nephew-- and great gal friend Jenny B. and headed out to Dinner at Applebees. Lucky us we only had to wait about 20 minutes. Wonderful fantastic meal. Thanks Aunt Carolyn! That great lady bought me a steak with shrimp. Couldn’t have been better. Well, along with a card and $$---you already know people, I’m spoiled----> moving on

As stated earlier, I had fixed myself right nice if I do say so and I was in some awesome heels--Carrie if they look familiar …hehe…they were yours and NO you cant have them back Haha!---I was defiantly strutton my stuff.

Jenny & I had decided to go see the movie “Confessions of a ShopAHolic” ---Loved it!!!--- But, we knew we had better wait to go to the late show after the “couple” crowd died down a bit at the theater so we wasted some time at the mall.

Here it goes ladies…feel free to start laughing anytime. I give you my permission.

As said, I was strutton my stuff in the sweet heels well actually wedges confidently. Then Right in the middle of the mall and main CD store, I was holding my nephews hand and walking when are foots caught and I, Tierra Lynne Coleman took one KILLER head dive in the middle of the freakin teenage crowded mall and fell hard in a VERY VERY non lady like way in front of the CD store!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

{LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL}
Okay ladies, are you done yet??? No?
{LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL}

So there you have it folks…2009 V-Day Embarrassed Escapades. As for the rest of the night, Jenny kept my keys to make sure last year was not a repeat and I highly enjoyed the movie and laughed so hard.
If you want a feel good, clean chic flick that will make you laugh so hard, go see Confessions of a ShopAholic and laugh at her.
Lata.

Dear Future Hubby: A Love Letter

Dear Future Hubby,
{Its late afternoon. My front door is open and the sun has just start to slowly set and its low in the sky. The rays are shining so brightly through my living room door, that I can see the dust shimmer in its setting. As I pause around my dining room French doors, I can see your shadow start across the floor and I pause to just take it in.

As I get to the door, your there, standing devilishly handsome and you smell of a quick shower with a touch of cologne. You smile, and the look upon your face, is the look of someone who fully sees me.

With a large bouquet of pink roses, you whisper…“I can’t believe this is all you asked for.” You take my hand. And it’s off to Dinner. Just a simple dinner at my favorite restaurant. It’s all about the moments of just talking and holding my hand with a promise of not to laugh or get bored through the chic flick you’ve just promised to sit through.
At the ticket line with your slight tease of “I can’t believe were seeing this” I say “You’ll LOVE it” with a very girlish mocking laugh. I’m in heels of course and I’m pausing to think “I’m finally that girl at the movies with her guy in line, looking old Hollywood couple great”

As the movie goes with a few roll of the eyes from you and my sighs of awe throughout the movie, its bliss.

To the end of the night you remember about the card you’ve got tucked in your jacket and take me to my favorite park. The moon is out and it’s lighting up the sky. We walk and for one soft moment love comes so peacefully, it means everything that it’s finally in its place. Knowing that cards mean the world to me, you pull it out with saying” ..And you thought I forgot…” It simple states, I’m here and I love you.”}

So, Dear future Hubby I want you to know….I’m here. Am I sad for today of not having that perfect moment? Sure. But what will this day hold? He’s in the form a sweet six yr. old little boy. He has my heart.

Then it’s in the eyes of a mothers love from my dear sweet aunt Carolyn.

The night will be surrounded by laughter of girlfriends who are always there. Love comes in so many ways to so many people. I just hope that someday…maybe soon…Love will come ….from you.
