Movie Obsession

Tonight I am slightly....
....Slightly starting to panic. Carrie's Bridal shower is this Saturday and I only have two days left to pull this all together. As stated before, I am a HUGE detail person. I will worry and fuss with the smallest detail to the max. So, This will be my last post for the week & weekend. But, I wanted to leave you with alittle something. Afterall, I'm giving out favors at the shower so consider this your "blogging favor" while I dive into the weekend.
Take a look at a couple of movie trailers that have me OBSESSING over them. As in, I've wachted them both dozens and dozens of times.

#1st up is "The Time Travelers Wife"
It looks STUNNING to my sappy romance chick flick soul. And I cannot wait till August 14th! Now, i havent read the book but just as soon as the shower is over, I have a date to read the Time Travelers Wife. For a full "recap" on this movie, watch the tralier and then check out the website
Click me---> "The Time Travelers Wife Movie"

And then of course there is this little thing you might have heard...
New Moon anyone?
Enough Said. Okay tottally Team EDWARd but...yes, even I admit this, I'm excited to see Taylor/Jacob get his shinning moment. But, the night this comes out...
I'll be 100% rockin my TEAM EDWARD shirt.
Take That.

PS. Notice the New Poll ---> I'm so curious on this one so VOTE!

Jon & Kate

I. AM. SO. UPSET.
Their Divorcing.
I honestly feel so heartbroken for this family.
Team Kate or Team Jon. I was 100% Team Save Marriage.

This show will just not be the same for me.

Fathers Day

My daddy. This is my favorite picture. I've tons of others but for some reason this picture just captures my Dad at a time when little girls depend on their dad's the most. We were at the beach and I was 4. And running to sit on his lap was an every morning thing.

Dear Dad,
Time has ran away with it all and now I'm 23. I may not be that little 4 year old sitting on your lap anymore But, now I'm leaning my head on your shoulders. I love you Dad and I thankful that everytime I see you, You still call me your baby. Your only little girl.
Happy Fathers Day Daddy.

What a blessing it is to be loved by your dad.
To know that when they look at you, They see the prettiest girl in the whole world and no matter how big you get, You'll always be their little Girl.

And this girl, Loves being ...

that little girl.

Carrie is Wise & Bridal Shower "Taste"

Today, I had the lovely pleasure of spending the afternoon with two of my favorite people.
One of them is sweet sixteen.
The other...She's the Elegant bride to be.
Hailey & Carrie.
My cousins.
It was a charming afternoon.
Talk of wedding and bridal showers plans.
Family Gossip.
Lunch.

Followed by a HILARIOUS movie, the Proposal. I HIGHLY enjoyed it and recommend it if you need a laugh. LOTS of it. Not to mention but lookin at the Reynold guy was umm..pretty dang nice too. Wink!

But, that's not what this post is about.
As your probably looking at the pictures first, I'll go ahead and give you a taste--I love that word-- of what Carries Bridal shower will look like. The top photo of Carrie is the one I put in all the invitations that went out for the bridal shower.
It was taken when they had their engagement session and the photographer did some fabulous shots of them alone. So, when I saw this one of Carrie...Well, I just couldn't resist not letting the world see it too.
The remain three are my small sneak peek pictures of my color scheme/design for the Bridal shower.
I've ordered lime green spider mums.
With accents of hot pink polka dot ribbon, Along with large tall vases filled with green limes.
As for the rest, all shall be revealed after the 27th!
I am one for details. Details to the extreme and I'm determined to make this as nice as I can for Carrie.
Now, scroll down for the "reason" for this post!

Tonight, as we were in the car, I was talking to Carrie about life decisions. Your dreams and plans. For me, at 23 years old the major events are starting to come up in ones life. The big one, like marriage and children----NO I NOT ENGAGED---And in one small sentence as we were driving along, Carrie says this statement I know I must have heard a thousand times but it just never really sunk in until to night.

She said "It's never going to be the right moment"
In other words you cant just sit along and wait for things to happen. Not, that I have been sitting along but I have not gone out and made things happen either. And I was saying "Well, its just never been the right moment." To which she said again "When is it ever really the right moment?" And WHAM...a light bulb came on and I thought...Wise...Carrie is wise. Make those moments. MAKE THOSE MOMENTS. Tonight she taught me a lesson about prayer too. Our Heavenly Father already knows our hearts and desires. Pray for things. Don't just think that its being self observant to ask. Let him "hear" from you as a son/daughter of God your hearts desires. Make it that moment. Say things in that moment. For you'll end of "waiting for the right moment" when you could move and act on the moment.

Wise. Carrie is Wise.

Im Alive.

Somewhere in my Memory I was supposed to have done a "celebrate" 200th post.
Welp, that didn't happen.
Blame it one the rain I've endured.
Blame it on late night book reading.
Blame it on looking at photos of Rob Pattinson online.
Blame it on TONS of Bridal showers plans X 2.
Or simply
Blame it on the fact that I just didn't get around to doing it.
Alas, so here we are.
Did anyone get as tired of seeing my summer post below as much as I did?
Oh wait, you can't answer that. Duh Tierra!

So about that no comment thing.
I closed the poll early and the result was...
Yes! I need a Voice.(21%)
If your ready. (57%)
Nope. I like this "No pressure" (21%)

So, am I ready for comments back?
Not at this time. And really, to be honest it's not that I'm "not ready" its simply,
I am loving this no pressure thing.
Do I miss hearing from you?
ABSOLUTELY but to be honest, I'm enjoying the no pressure of having to comment back. You see, I've seen others say how hard it is to get to everyone who has commented and that's how it was for me. Right now, I just don't have the time to sit at the computer comenting away.
Do I still make it to your blogs?
When I see that it has an update. If you don't have a follow button then I'm really sorry but I rarely get there everyday.
Do I comment to everyone?
I still comment but not to every post or everyone. I comment if I have the time. Or I see something that I would like for you to know.
Does this mean I find your blog less appealing?
NO! NO! NO! Not at all! Every ones blog is first...there own. You can blog about as much or little as you like and I enjoy seeing the diversity.

Now, here's where Tierra puts a firm foot down
about this blog of mine and I Do this in a VERY non mean way. I DO NOT want to offend anyone in the least but...It has come to my attention that I have some lurkers who have linked my blog to their blog without my permission .
In other words **send me an email and kindly please introduce yourself and ask**
Really, I don't mind! REALLY.
But, please... this is my personal blog, I have pictures here of my nephew/family and it really creeps me out that you have me listed on your sidebar and you haven't asked.
A silent email will do just fine.

This is NOT for followers. THIS is NOT for blog fame.
This is simply me asking you to let me know.
Going Private is not the plan, But if I have too...I will.

Phew! Glad that's said. Hopefully I will celebrate hitting the 200th soon. Even though this is tech. 200th LOL
Happy 200th to me, right?
Whoo-hoo! To celebrate, I'll go eat a brownie and watch something really sappy.
Why don't you do the same? I mean come one, it's the 200th!
Chow.

A "Princess" Sunday

Today, was a better day. In fact, I cant tell you how sweet of a day it was.
Two weeks ago a Lady from my church asked me to take over her "little Princess" class--as she calls them--for two Sundays.
Today, was my last day and it was just SO sweet to be with these VERY--and I mean VERY--prissy little girls in church primary today.
I got to skip my YSA adult Sunday school class and here them sing and tell me all about their dresses and who was their best friends and just be within a precious child's mind for two hours today.
Heaven.

And SO much fun.
When we got to class for the lesson, they all asked me if they could take off their shoes! I thought, sure. Why not?
They all giggled and twirled and came right to order when I told them that it was time to be reverent and start with a prayer.
These little ladies are smart, let me tell ya!
I taught the lesson on the Holy Ghost and listening for him to help us with right & wrong so that we could enter into the temple someday. You know what they said about that?
They all giggled and said " SO WE CAN GET MARRIED!" I laughed so SO hard...Girlie's through and through.

Through the lesson I had to read the story about Abinadi and the wicked King Noah.
In which they all asked me if this story had a happy ending.
"Well.." I said "It does because we learn of how much faith Abinadi had and how the Holy ghost helped Alma learn the truth."
They payed attention. Answered questions and We ended by singing "I love to see the Temple" --my personal fave-- and prayer, needing no help from me!
We then had picture time! I just couldnt resist bringing my camera for this cute event today and next week I'm bringing them each their own copy.

Oh to be a child again with that childlike faith. Makes us learn more as an adult to see just how simple it is to recognizes the Lords spirit.

Hurt Feelings

Today, I needed my mom.

Ladies...it was a rough day. I SOoOo said that today would be a solid post with a story but today's "to do" list was a long one and then my next door neighbor who is 88 yrs. old and has known me my entire life-- decided today to drop the biggest cruel comment I've ever had in my entire life. TODAY! I wont go into the details but I'll just say this...my weight. That's what is was about. Now ladies, I am no skinny mini. I'm not even a skinny mini who says she's fat when shes really not. I am a good 40 + extra pounds over weight then what I need on this 5'2 body frame.

BUT, here within these last few years I have come into my own and I'm happy with the skin I'm in. Could I, should I, lose 25 pounds and be better off? SURE. But, I'm not going to beat myself while in the process.

But, I'm human and feelings can be hurt so badly when you cant say something nice. I realize that my neighbor is 88 yrs. old and she has no problem speaking her mind but telling someone point blank that she probably doesn't even fit into her own clothes can really hurt a girls self esteem {that wasn't all she said but its just too cruel to share} Especially when that "she" is on her period. It was already a rough day and that just made it worse.

I'm going to bed. So, the planned post is off.

PS. Ann---I know who the band KILLERS are! ! ! I LOVVVVEEE them! ! ! I've heard all those songs you mentioned on the radio before and have blared it but I guess just never caught the band name. My all time Fave is playing on my playlist! Now, I'm REALLYY jealous over your concert LOL

Carnival Weekend

"There's a CARNIVAL TIERRA! ! !" said to me by a VERY enthusiastic 6 yrs.old.
In which a smarty pants Aunt Tierra replied "Really? NO WAY MAN! Are you SURE?"
Followed by a very loud Angelus "YESSSS! ! ! It's HUGE! ! !"

I realized that I very rarely blog about my nephew. Shame on me. But, this little guy stole my heart from day one,
4 hours in the beginning.
{giggling} I see him everyday.
*Cough-cough* he's a stud. Srsly.

So, Saturday night we made the BIG move and went. A GREAT kickoff for the summer. Now, carnival people give me the freaks and the trailer- yucky- looking people that come out of the woodwork BUT we all had a wonderful time. Looking at all those big-high- rides I used to ride back in the teen years made my stomach sick! So, I just watched Angelus have fun and take pics!
In which he would promptly tell me "STOP takin pictures, I'm trying to be BRAVE! ! !"
if he went on a high high ride by himself. LOL.
We had cotton candy, candy apples, and used lots of hand sanitizer :) Enjoy the pics. Chow

PS. Angelus won a Stuffed animal Cow playing the fish pool game. After which he promptly came up to me and said "Here Tierra. I won this just for you." Bless his heart. I LOVE this kid!

PSS. I know every one has already said something on there blog about this,
So here goes mine.
NEW MOON BABY. NEW MOON! ! ! MTV awards...SCREAMED all night like a freakin 16 yr. old. The movie trailer.... DONT EVEN get me started! I've watched it like a BILLION times.

Love Affair

All week we have endured rain. Rain. Rain. Rain!
So, for a quickie post to see you through the weekend, I thought I would finally introduce to you my two current favorite loves.
Is this going to be one of those post where people could talk and say
"look at that! All that girl thinks about is her material things that makes her happy"
You know, like those nosy busy body neighbors I know every one has in there block!?!
So to answer, Why YES this is a material post in which it does make this girl happy.

It ain't no thang. Really. I just heart them.
That's all.
A few weeks ago when the lovely government graced me with a mighty nice refund check--don't ya just love that system?--This purse by GUESS had been singing to me a very seductive song of "you belong with me" for weeks.
Well, I just couldn't refuse.
Shes huge. Shes darling. And she screams summer lovin.

For the shoes.
Stella Gladiator Flats.

I cannot even Begin to tell you how long I have been having a love affair with this pair of shoes.
I remember that day ever so clearly. I walked into the Belk department store and was just minding my own business when I heard this gladiator chant.Instead of the roar "We will rock you" it went"YOU will rock me"

However, when I went to try them on and confirm that this love affair was heated, steamy and a perfect match for a summer fling...I then proceeded to have a heart attack when I saw the price tag.
$90 smackers.
And THAT was the discount price.
So, like a sad ending to a no happily ever after...I walked away. But, I was not about to go down without a fight. Every Friday when the sales would go up for the weekend, I would stop by and pray for a MAJOR discount miracle.
To sum this up...One night, that was not even a Friday, I stopped by the mall to just to have a shoe moment, when a sign was up that said 60 percent discount for a summer kickoff.

All shoes.

Ladies...this WAS a SHOE MIRACLE.

I swear there were shoe angels singing a heavenly hallelujah chorus as I rushed to the counter, asked for my size and whipped out that debit card like a speeding bullet. The end.

PS. UGH!!! I need a Tan! Also, Red is my current summer kick off color. Really. If ya cant tell.
PSS. New Moon trailer revealed on MTV awards Sunday! GO TWILIGHT! I'm excited. Really. If ya cant ...tell.

A Bathroom Confession

Ladies...I have a girl confession to make.
Take a look at these photos of my bathroom.
My tolie. The "loo" as the British call it.
Now, I try to keep my bathroom pretty clean. Really, I do.

{notice the handsome devil Robert Pattinson peeking in the picture on the front magazine in my basket}
{LOL when I go to the toilet...at least I like to look at something hot}

If you were to walk in my bathroom right now, this is how it would look.
I clean my toilet and shower religiously and in an odd sense..I love to clean my counter top because I can use my wonderful Orange citrus cleaner.

But ladies...alas. I admit it. I'm coming out of the cleaning closet.
My shelves stay like this constantly. Ann, don't have a heart attack LOL
No matter how hard I try or more cute basket to hold things and makeup bags to store stuff in...It all just stays right out in the open.

You know what though, I really LOVE to organize. REALLY.
Am I the only one who gets a thrill out of organizing and cleaning her makeup products?
But, in the end as I go about my week and get ready for work and such...It all just stays out in the open. Maybe this is a girl thing but I found it quite funny as I walked into the bathroom this morning and just had to share my quirk.
The end.

C.H.O.C.O.L.A.T.E.

You know your a Chocoholic when you make an 11 o'clock night run to the store and this is all you buy.
I'm cracking up right now as I remember the look on the cashiers face
when I went through the line and this is all she rings up.
Chocolate.
Chocolate.
And more chocolate.
NO. I'm not at the time of the month. Typical Tierra thing.

Also, new reason number #1 I've found of the "good" qualities of still being single.
No husband saying this.
"It's 11 o'clock at night. Do you really have to have this?"
Or this.
"You really DONT need that."
Then, I'd lay the smack down of "OH YES I DO" and do it anyway.
Like I do now. Ha-Ha!

On another note.
Have you ever tryed the Betty Crocker Microwave "Warm Delights"?
They've been out for quite some time but I just now tried them.
If your in the mood for a brownie and don't want to wait the stupid 45 minute process or have a whole entire pan to temp you for the week...This is the way to go.
I repeat. THIS IS THE WAY TO GO.
I admit I was a bit skeptical with the whole "just add water" and microwave "maybe crap" taste BUT
I fell in love last night. It hit the chocolate wave right on the spot.

PS. No. Not all of this cocolate was comsumed in one sitting.
Maybe, two sittings...LOL

I Love to see the Temple

Tonight, my thoughts have been turning to the summer when we went to Nauvoo.
It was just a week right after the temple was rededicated that my mom, aunt Carolyn, and myself went to all the sites for a week long trip ending in Nauvoo.
And the Nauvoo temple is so special.
I'm so thankful for temples. Their beauty and peace give our souls a refreshing that's stands the test and trials of this life. I'm so truly at peace to know that one day, I shall see my mother again.
As I was trying to get to sleep last night, it really sunk in how much I know and realize.
I shall be with my mom and my family and through this life, our temples seal us for all time and eternity.
A beautiful knowledge.

On another note.

Being single is hard. Now, no pitty sighs or phone calls of "hang in there Tierra".
I truly am okay. It's just that it makes looking at beautiful temples and being within their presence ease my mind to know that someday---hopefully that someday is soon lol---
I shall and will be married there.

With all my heart I want that with the right one and to be able to bring children into this life under that sacred and powerful covenant that seals my own testimony of knowing.
A final, beautiful thing.

Sweet Sixteen

Hailey Blaine.
Today, marked a very important day in every girls life.
A sweet sixteen.
And this beautiful brown eyed girl is the bomb.
No, srsly. She. IS. THE. BOMB.
I stand 100% correct and speak for the entire family and say that we all truly love her.
Hailey is her own unique self and I'm positive that she is one of Heavenly Fathers favorites.

If you were to meet Hailey, she would walk right up to you,
introduce herself with a huge smile and sincere bright eyes.

Have you ever met any one that openly excepts you sincerely with a face lit up like a firecracker of Wel-come-ness?
You would if you met Hailey.

She is growing up into a stunning young lady and alittle smarty pants too. VERY smart is our Hailey. Now, I wont go into a list of 16 things BUT I COULD and they'ed outshine us all but instead, I'll share a little favorite Hailey-ism. When Hailey was a little girl in preschool, most little girls would love princesses and such. Well, not our Hailey. Hailey worshiped the King. Elvis. Thats right, I can here you all thinking.....?????..... But she loved the King and his music and so for Halloween in pre-school, Hailey went as none other then Elvis. It was so stinkin great and SO Hailey. With her bouncing curls and firecracker remarks she makes this family look good. Also, she was the first one to believe me when I told her about twilight and read it and get into twilight. Yeah baby!!!

So, last night, I took Hailey to see Star Trek and had the privilige of being with her when the clock turned midnight and it was just the two of us as we watched the hotness of those two above.
She loved it and I loved being with her!
So...HAPPY SWEET SIXTEEN Hailey-Bay.
I love everything about you sweetie and you deserve the world.

PS. Hailey dear notice the Fray playing with your song on the side ----->
PSS. Hailey, I was totally NOT the one who pushed you into a dollhouse when we were little LOL
I promise!
PSSS. To those who have not seen Star Trek...What the heck are you waitin for! GO SEE IT!
PSSSS. When we were in line for drinks last night at the movies, they had the New Moon poster up! I just died! Is it November yet?

Dress Up

Little Girls.
When I was a little girl, the cute little girl in red was my best friend & little cousin.
Carrie.
To this day, she is still one of my best friends.
She found this picture a few months back and I wanted to post it.
It makes me smile just looking at it.
Here we are, just two little girls playing dress up in her moms old dance costumes.
Life back them was so much more easy.

Now, that cute little girl in red is a young woman getting married in August.
We're so excited.
As of now the "the" dress has been bought.
Invitations about to go out.
And I am right where I want to be, As I plan her bridal shower.
Carrie is everything a girl next door should be.
She's sweet, sincere, and has a smile that is so graceful.
Wait till you see the engagement photos!

Awe, time is running away with it all and sometimes I wish I could just turn back the clock just for a day and be that little girl with her sidekick playing dress up and barbies.
Everything about being prissy and feminine is truly a sweet gift to be a girl.
Now, back to my bridal shower plans. {{giggles}}

PS. No one please dont get Carrie started on stories growing up! She would tell you all my faults and the MANY things I would boss her around. Hehe.
PSS. Go Kris on American Idol!
PSSS. Have you seen the New Moon Official poster yet? I have. {{Oh. Edward}}

The Return

The art of a smore. It's a wonderful thing.
The art of a life. It's a simple thing.
For me, as long as it has smores...I'm good to go.

So, for the return. The new change. I want this to be a good thing.
So where to begin, where am I at.

Really.

I'm 23 years old. Just a girl. A girl with dreams.
I have a job. A Family.
And a life filled with friends and love.
I'm real and I make mistakes.
As for the rest...
I have faith.
And I realize everyday how much more bigger the picture really is
of this life & its purpose
our Heavenly Father has instore for us.
And for now, thats enough.

PS. I'm also just a alitte bit in love with my new header. Just alittle. *Wink*

Shakespeare "The Rest is Silence"

{This picture is of the old train station thats just 3 minutes from my home. Everytime I pass it at night, and it's all lit up...I think about the 1940s and wartime. And all those men & women that had to say goodbye. After the train left... The rest was Silence.}

Dear Readers & Friends,
This week, I have been doing a lot of thinking. When I first started this blog, it was purely for a release. A way for me to let my life go on and to remember it by. So, as the months passed and more friends and comments started to come my way, it was like a rush. A happy rush like when you see you've got mail except "You've got Comments". We all know we love comments. You know you do, and I fully admit this.

So, here comes the rain. You start to put your heart and soul into posting. Sometimes sitting hours at the computer uploading pictures. For me, life was spent WAY to much time blogging then a life of living. And with that, they say to get more comments you have to comment back. It becomes addicting, let me tell ya. I admit this.

Now, have you ever noticed how you get more comments on something really random and fun but not the real inner you post that you want people to really see? If you answer no then well...good luck with that. If you answer yes, then you see where this is going. Hopefully.

So dear readers...I'm pulling the comment button for a month or two. I'm not going to be leaving commenting up. For how long? I don't really know. Maybe this is just from the mood I'm in or Maybe its been the rain we've had all week but for along time now...the comment cycle can be a rewarding one but yet addictive one. Does this mean, I wont be commenting to you? No. I will support my friends and comment away. But for me, I don't want you to feel like this blog is up just for the "blog fame" of it. Or that I am a commenter for comments. I shall still be around. But for now, maybe a month...maybe a few weeks, No comments on this blog. This past week, Feelings were hurt and the comments just to get comments thing does not sit with me. The whole blog fame of it doesn't matter. Blogging and commenting should be for fun. To uplift. To comment for the right reason not just so you can receive a comment back on your blog. So with this, I bid my commenting for my blog a bittersweet farewell.

As for the rest, I want to get back to why I started this blog in the first place. The thrill of posting just for fun and for family friends to have a peek. So, please continue if you like, as a silent snooper...You have my permission.

As for the rest...as Shakespeare said..." the rest is Silence"
