Pictured Like This {Christmas 2009}

I know. I know. I know. It's March. Yep. I get that. But, remember I'm tryin to catch my blog up on all pictures of big things from the end of last year. So. Here you go loveys. This is my house throughout the Christmas Holiday season. We started off at the beginning of December a little shaken because Lee and Angelus moved away. So, for the complete shock to us all, we bought a real Christmas tree to help us get in a better mood for Christmas. It. Was. So. Pretty & Full. And...I didn't kill it! LOL We had a great Holiday with them coming home for Christmas but I have to say, I was glad when it was over.
Enjoy the pics!

For my Christmas gift this year to all my girl cousins, I had this printing company combine all our family favorite recipes in a cookbook with pictures. Along with a recipe box, cards, and a large white bowl that had matched the bowl from the cover of the recipe book.

Simply Pictures {I dream of Spring}

I need Spring to come SO badly.
My whole body & Soul needs the Sunshine and the Crisp cool breezes.
But mainly, I long to see my front yard Tulip trees that my Grandmother planted
when we first moved into our home 24 years go.
They bloom into these amazing, stunning blossoms.

This place I call home. I adore my house.
And in the Spring, My home is ever so lovely.
I can't tell you how many times we go to the door and
it will be some one out taking a walk and stop to
take in those huge pink blossoms and want to know what they are.

{Dear Ann, Remember how you wanted to see how tall my front tree's get and look like in the Spring?
Well, their even bigger AND fuller now from this, last year picture...Enjoy!}

Home

{Seeing our BEAUTIFUL Tennessee Mountains on the drive back...let me know that I was "Home"}

Home. I am Home. What a sweet feeling it is to go away for a weekend trip with a great friend and then come home to a warm welcome with a dinner cooked, house cleaned and just the pure essence of family love and knowing you were missed.

I can say we both had a lovely time visiting with Kristy's cousins and I adored them all. They were so welcoming and fed us to the extreme. Laughter and pool time {and the sticky Georgia heat--i shall never complain of TN heat} and lot's of girl talk! Thanks Kristy for inviting me and being able to get to know your cousins for the weekend.

I know for a fact that both me and Kristy are home bodies. We were both just alittle bit homesick and was happy for the time spent to get away but we were more excited for our arrival home. Last night, on mine and Kristy's final night in the hotel, both of us fresh from hot showers and headed to bed....

We had the TV on.
We were flipping through the channels and came across a TV concert of Michael Buble.
I LOVE me some Michael Buble soul. He began to sing the song "Home" and I couldn't help but think that he hit the feeling right on the nail as i set and just listened.

Home.
I was headed home
.
As I set reading to get to sleep my thoughts kept thinking how blessed I am that I can go away for a great weekend but know that I have home to go back too.

A Bathroom Confession

Ladies...I have a girl confession to make.
Take a look at these photos of my bathroom.
My tolie. The "loo" as the British call it.
Now, I try to keep my bathroom pretty clean. Really, I do.

{notice the handsome devil Robert Pattinson peeking in the picture on the front magazine in my basket}
{LOL when I go to the toilet...at least I like to look at something hot}

If you were to walk in my bathroom right now, this is how it would look.
I clean my toilet and shower religiously and in an odd sense..I love to clean my counter top because I can use my wonderful Orange citrus cleaner.

But ladies...alas. I admit it. I'm coming out of the cleaning closet.
My shelves stay like this constantly. Ann, don't have a heart attack LOL
No matter how hard I try or more cute basket to hold things and makeup bags to store stuff in...It all just stays right out in the open.

You know what though, I really LOVE to organize. REALLY.
Am I the only one who gets a thrill out of organizing and cleaning her makeup products?
But, in the end as I go about my week and get ready for work and such...It all just stays out in the open. Maybe this is a girl thing but I found it quite funny as I walked into the bathroom this morning and just had to share my quirk.
The end.
