okay. i'm a royal watcher nerd. go figure!

well i guess you can see that i haven't kept my promise about posting my fall/mantle decor. i sorry. like really sorry. honestly. i blame it on the fact that there is a certain young man in my life that has completely taken over my brain/thoughts/thinking and all things in between sanity. he just might make it on this blog. maybe. will see. that is if he doesn't drive me nuts first! in the mean time, i just couldn't let this news topic go with out my two cents and stamp of approval. like aka prince william phone called a few weeks ago to make sure i was in complete agreement on his decision and i have had to sit with this news for awhile! and as we all know tierra can hardly hold anything in....{gasp!!} so i of course said he must definitely marry kate. i think she is quite lovely and of all the photos i have seen of her on magazine covers and such over the years, when they made their announcement and she walked out looking like that, i thought she hit it dead on! she looked amazing. her hair was just perfect and oh would i kill for her legs! i have always thought kate was an amazing dresser and i loved how the dress made the ring pop! i have heard a few comments on tv and several on facebook who find this news story ridiculous and that the fact that he gave her his mothers ring a "hand me down" {like some sapphire diamond ring is a hand me down? what a joke!}well excuse me people but i for one like to hear something exciting to look forward too and not some celebrity stepping out as gay or a Lindsey lohan disaster 24/7! i know good and well that the world is full of hard things. hard and cruel and dangerous things taking place on this land and over seas....but what in the freakin world is wrong about talking about two people who have been dating for years and announce that they would like to take it one step further? and oh yeah...to the person who put on my facebook page that prince Williams mothers ring is "recycled and probably cursed" ....dont you even dare make a statement like that to me again because my own mother who passed away left me her ring that was given to her by my father. their marriage ended in a divorce and she is gone as well.....but the ring to this day is my most cherished and special piece of jewelry i own. i have ALWAYS planned on wearing it on my wedding day because it represents the love that my parents once had. my parents may not have had the best relationship either dearie but my mother still loved the time and the good memories that she shared with my father. Hence the reason i was born. I was completely and utterly offended that you would make a comment about something that is neither here nor there for the matter. all you did was make yourself look immature. i don't ever recall asking for your opinion on this or anything else. keep your cynical thoughts and opinions to yourself or write it on your own page.

so to william on giving her your mothers ring. GOOD FOR YOU! i will be watching and rooting with bells on. oh how i just love a good wedding!!!

oooh and so it goes.....

i will bet you $1000 smackeroos THAT your day (yesterday) was not as thrilling (oh so thrilling) as mine.
trust me. no, like REALLY trust me! i thought about not posting this and had planned on posting either my birthday pictures or the biltmore trip i took the day after the birthday.....but isn't life just interesting how each day  takes on it's own....shall we say, sense of humor in a cruel cruel way??? you know...just to keep us on our toes, right? well, dear readers.....yesterday was that day for tierra. exhibit a: tierra leaves her glasses at a store an hour away from home. exhibit b: tierra locks her keys in the car three hours later after arriving late to work. exhibit c: (the kicker) tierras car breaks down smack dab in the middle of a three way stop at 2:20 AM (!!!) in a residential area and leaked transmission fluid  ALL THE WAY DOWN THE ROAD. exhibit d: tierra had the entire neighbor hood lit up like the fourth of july with police, ambulance, firetrucks, the tow truck,  ALL with their lights lighting up the neighbor hood like tierra's own personal block party except that she had NO attention of throwing it!!! {!!!!} exhibit e: it. was. freezing. exhibit f: she was in little flimsy ballet slippers standing on the side of the road for hours. exhibit g: the firemen had to pour & shovel 8 buckets of cat litter to soak up the oil before they would let the tow truck guy tow my car back to my house.

of course i will only mention that my car insurance road side assistance number took 45 minutes to even get through (I HATE COMPUTER/TELEPHONE answering machines} OR that they tried to argue that i had no towing insurance on my policy (which I do and I did) and had to keep me on hold for another 15 minutes to "re-look up" my policy (idiots!!!) before they would even authorize a towing.

and to close...i did not get home and into my bed until 6ish in the morning. and oh yeah, the neighbors all came out to watch on their porches....Maybe next year I'll just send invites?

thoughts, thoughts, and to much thinking

Tonight, I have a million things running through my mind. Which, A. is a bad thing. Which, B. is annoying as heck. Which, C. is a REALLY bad thing. I'm coming to Utah in just a little bit shy of two weeks. I honestly do not know if it's the right thing to do. I mean at least the first week, I'll be there for my friends wedding and I wouldnt miss it for the world but really...the second week? I just don't know. People have been saying it's nerves and worrying about flying. SO not true. I love to travel and I have been on dozens of trips without a single family member around and that's just not it. The flying part, Are you kidding me? I can't wait to fly! Now that's exciting. ---So small town girl right?--I just can't put my finger on it but I just don't have a good feeling about this. Not really a bad feeling. But not a great one either. I just keep thinking of all the other things I could be doing/using my money with. Things I really should be using it for. Like School. A car. Anywho, the ticket's bought and that's that. And if I hear one more time "maybe you'll meet someone"...I'm going to say a really bad word (maybe a few) that i'm sure my bishop wouldnt want me to be saying or my mother for that matter.
Speaking of my mother, this Sunday will mark the third year. Three blasted whole years since I heard her voice. That's all I'm gonna say about that. Then when I switch to something Else, I think about children. A husband. My own home. And what/where will I be at in the next 5 years of my life. Now, I forewarn you all DO NOT blow up my inbox of notes that my time will come. I have a right to my own pity party every now and then, when it comes to matters of the heart. Or lack there of, I should say. Then there are friends. At 24 turning 25 in November I have finally started to realize that you just can't charm them all. As in, not everybody is going to like you. Or you like them. I've come to see those who I want to be my friend and those I do not. In this world, were all trying. Trying for life. Happiness. And if you can't be my friend and except the good and the bad both ways, then I have no need for you to string me along. I am who I am. I'm still learning. Still trying. And if you can't or don't like the way I am, them I don't want you in my life either. I'm truly seeing my friends for who and what they are.... that's for sure.
Oh. It's midnight. The trash needs to be taken out and then off to bed and my book I'm reading.
Knowing me, I'll just end up thinking some more....Don't you just wish we had an off button sometimes?

The "Were Leaving" Day

Today, my heart will be broken and I won't be able to breathe right for the next few weeks.
Lee, my brother took a new job on the coast of South Carolina and so today they are leaving.
As in my nephew is leaving my side.
I've known this was coming for the last few months now but honestly I took the Scarlett O'Hara approach and would think about it another day. And another day and another after that. And now it's time. Oh sure they will be back the week of Christmas but I can't think straight knowing I wont see either of them on a daily bases. I'm pretty sure I've let Lee know how mad I am for doing this on the month of Christmas but at the same time, he has grilled me on how this is a better opportunity....but I'm so sorry, I just can't be happy about that.
Please excuse me as I go cry me a river for like the 5oth time in two days!

I hate being an Adult

I just got off the phone with my family.

My family....their all at the beach.

Yep. that's right, you heard me...THE BEACH!

As for Tierra....

Tierra is all by herself sitting in a house with unfinshed painted walls, trim work to be done, a bathroom floor getting ready to be ripped apart and oh yeah... a WORK place that wouldnt let her take the weekend off.

Don't even bother asking me if I'm in a good mood.

PS. My family..... just HAD to tell me about the great ocean front condo, the beach, the shops, the pools, the massive lazy river, ANNNNDDD the four star restaurant they just got back from.

Dear Family,
Am I bitter? YES.
Will I stay bitter all week? YES.
Will I ever let this drop? NO.

Health...NOT NOW!

I am physically drained. That's right, drained I tell ya. For the last two hours I have been lying around my house proclaiming "loudly" I'm DIEING.

I have chills one minute. Burning up ten minutes later. My head {what a joke}...FEELS like I've been HIT by a freakin sledgehammer. And I'm achy EVERYWHERE on this so-called body of mine. What is going on? WHY? WHY I SAY? WHHHHHYYYY?!?

Doesn't the health gods know that I, Tierra Lynne Coleman have another bridal shower to do this weekend? Don't they know I have a FULL work schedule this week with no days off? Don't they know I have NO sick days left? Don't they know I HAVE to have everything together for Alexa because she deserves it?

DON'T THEY KNOW I DO NOT HAVE TIME FOR THIS?

Excuse me while I go sit in the corner {with an electric heating blanket} and pout.

I am MAD.

I will NOT go down without a fight.

I wont. I WON'T. I won't.

A Messed UP Monday!!

Today started out just lovely. Again, Mr. Spring Sunshine gave us a beautiful day. And so as your dear Tierra started off her day by checking her email, her aunt Carolyn was cleaning out the refrigerator. And the conversation went like this.

Carolyn: {cleaning her little heart out} ...."Tierra, when did twilight get cancelled?"
Tierra: {not paying attention, reading an email} ...."um, what did you say?"
Carolyn: "I said, when did twilight get cancelled?"
Tierra: {full attention now} "WHAT!?! Why would it be cancelled?"
Carolyn: "Well, you have it marked on the calendar with cancelled written underneath."
Tierra: {jumps from her chair} {looks at calendar} .............. {silence}
Tierra: {said in a very LOUD voice} LEE SHOPE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The now much hated turd-of-a-jerk in the above first picture
WAS my so called much loved oldest cousin who is like an older brother to me is now in the dog house. Actually, I'll call it the crap house because he will be payed back for this!

Then, as the day went on, me and my aunt went to the USE to be loved Wal-mart for some grocery shopping. As usual, I had to go over to the fabric section and pick out material for my Easter/spring table runner and table cloth I'm making.

As the lady was cutting my ever so charming fabric,
another messed up conversation began to take place.

Wal-mart Fabric Lady: "It's a good thing you're buying this today because everything is 50% off."
Tierra: "Oh really. How lucky!"
Wal-MartFabric Lady: "Yes. Very lucky because once everything is gone that will be that."
Tierra: "What do you mean everything will be gone?" {starting to worry}
Wal-Mart Fabric Lady: "Wal-Marts are doing away with all their fabric sections in this area."
Tierra: "WHAT!!!! NO WAY! WHY? OH GOOD GRIEF!!!!!! Please tell me your kidding?
Wal-Mart Fabric-ruins my day- Lady: "I'm afraid not.
Everything you see is 50% off until its all gone. All cuts final.
Tierra: {stunned}......................
Wal-Mart Fabric Lady: "Once word gets out everything is going to be a bit crazy
So if you see any fabric you like I suggest you buy it as soon as possible.
Tierra: "This is just a fine mess" "Wait till I call Amber" {I muttered to myself}

So, to end this messed up sad post, here is the picture of the fabric i bought today. At least I got it all for under $8 bucks! Tomorrow I'm heading back to just find whatever I think I might like to use in the near future.

Hey Wal-Mart....You SUCK!

Commenting & A Give Away

The Blogging Block. Comments. Feedback. Snoopers.
Over the last week I have been giving this a lot of thought. This very conversation has been many a phone call between my friend Ann and myself. She has asked the question on her blog, see here Ann, Old Fashioned Girl how much blogging is to much blogging? Blog everyday? Every other day? Then comes the question of comments. Feedback. And the “I know their looking, so how come no comments?”

For me, Lovely readers…This is how I feel.
I first started blogging after I lost my mother and wanted to let my mothers friends & my family know, that I would be okay. Then I discovered that blogging became an outlet for my humor. My release. In a way my “therapy” to just put myself out there and what I enjoy and love in this life.

At first, I had many a post with ZERO comments. It didn’t matter, I just moved on to what ever topic I wanted to talk about. And Heaven Knows, Tierra can Talk!
Before I knew it, I started getting more fellow friends to blog and other pages to go and snoop through.
Through this blog, I have met some amazing women and continue to do so.
Sometimes I have NO idea if I entertain you but yet I feel so tremendously humble that you follow a silly single gal with a flare for humor, boys, fashion and all things random & Twilight.

Busy Bee Lauren did a fantastic job of giving her thoughts on commenting by a cookie analogy.

To read her whole post, go here Busy Bee Lauren -Blogging
To me, I love getting the comments for the Feed back and to see whose reading.

It’s like gift giving.

I love to blog and I try VERY hard to make it entertaining and to express what I’m going through in this life. Sometime taking up 3 hours per post. So, say each post is like a gift. I take time and effort to pick it out, wrap it up with a pretty little bow and then present it to you. Then…Well? Did you like it? Not like?
Everyone, please scroll WAY down to the bottom of the page.

You should see two counting meters.
Do you know what this means? {Drum roll please}
It means, I can Seeeeee Youuuuu!
So Please, don’t be shy!
More then ever, don’t be shy!

One of my dearest best friends Leah
{who has a Fabulous blog, see here Wampler World}
Gave it another great thought that it’s like I’ve invited you into my living room.

{Nope, this not my living room...I wish}
You’re a guest that’s very welcomed but yet, your not speaking and were just sitting there.
All I ask in return is for your feedback. Because who wants to be sitting in their living room with no one to talk to? Well, unless you have Edward to read about but then that’s whole other story LOL

Are you still reading and with me?
emember how I just said more then EVER you need not to be silent?
In honor of my gift analogy I’m doing my first Gift Give Away.
So to you snoopers, silent or not, anonymous, to shy, not sure and all in between, this is what you need to do.
I have two prizes to give away and two ways you could win one of them.
but, before we go there lets recap. I gift/post. You feedback. Union of Bliss. Thats not to hard is it? And remember, I can SEEEE YOUUUU!
Now, on to the give aways. See below post.
